Whats are good electronic ear buds for hunting?

Not only do they do a nice job of protecting your hearing from loud noises they also do a superb job of virtually giving me super-hearing the rest of the time. Further even in most windy conditions there is none of that wind buffeting you get with electronic muffs.

EAR Inc. SHOTHUNT - do not overlook these, much less than the custom ESP's and will fit your ear forever not just the next 5 years. Your ears never stop growing, incase anyone was wondering. My custom molded plugs from 4-5 years ago already are starting to bother me after a couple hours of use. I can save you a little $$ on these also, PM me if interested.

Westone - makers of some of the best hearing aids in the world also produces a line called the Defend Ear Digital Hunter. Also not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I have owned a set of these for the past 4 years and absolutely swear by them. They amplify appropriate noises when hunting (like animal movement or your buddy whispering), while cutting out wind noise and shot blasts.

How long have you had them? Are they comfortable in your ear? Do they last quite awhile on a charge?
I have a whole thread on them. I’ve used them all day for 8 hours and battery was only at 50%. The case will recharge them like 10 times before u have to recharge it. I used it next to an unsuppressed 300 win mag. No issue.

Make sure you look at the NRR ratings, you get what you pay for. You may not be protecting as much as you think you are and still harming your hearing...

Etymotic, hands-down the best I've ever used. I have been using the GSP's for 3 years now at matches etc. The 5x sound amplification works great for hunting. A buddy uses them too and was able to hear a copperhead slithering up on him while turkey hunting!
