Whats Causing this?

Wonder whats causing this shot my SCAR 17 for the first time notice almost all my brass has these markings. Its Hornady Match brass and not sure never had this happen.

I shot a sig 556 a couple weeks ago that was doing the same thing. The brass is being spun 180 degrees as it is ejecting and hitting the side of your receiver or ejection deflector hard enough to damage the brass. I would bet you may see a wear spot on the side of the receiver where this is happening.

Try messing with the piston gas settings (if you can on the scar) and you may be able to stop this from happening.
