Recently, I've seen a lot of our fellow "Bear Pitters" kvetch a lot about all the $$$ going to aid The Ukraine. Just so that I confirm my understanding of the issues, I have a couple of questions:

    1) Main concern - Is the issue that we should be spending those $$$ for US concerns and not "foreign" ones (i.e. "America First"), or is it deeper than that?

    2) Why did the Biden Administration put so much of our $$$ into Ukraine spending? Were they getting some kind of Payola/Graft in return? Was Hunter getting his "10% for the 'Big Guy' or something?" Were they counting on USA based Ukrainians to help them win in an election? Or, perhaps, was it simply to support a group of people that opposed Putin & the Russians? I guess I just can't wrap my head around why the Biden clan was so adamant about sending all our $$$ over there. How did it benefit them?

this is my understandings. i am sure our resident Z funded Z lovers will correct any errors.
    1) nobody knows exactly how much in cash, mil gear, humanitarian aid has been sent. there has been no bragging about humanitarian aid so not sure. that would have been bragged on if it was a big #. no accounting for $ out,$ received has been provided to my knowledge.
    2) the rumors abound that a lot of it was outdated arty etc-no real info on that. again,a claim is that we have emptied out a lot of our stockpiles and are running low. no listing of what was sent is public as far as i know.
    3) there has been a lot of intel and space based targeting info sent. this is not free work. this has not been denied.
    3) it is well known and admitted that the US is paying the salaries and retirement of the Ukrainian bureaucracy.
    4) it is well known that Zelinsky and several of his cronies and his wife have bought lg real estate holdings. she is known to have bought at least 1 very expensive car. no real $ #s on most of this.
    5) some evidence has been claimed that for that much of the mil gear sent has been sold to 3rd parties. mex drug cartels have been mentioned. for sure no receipts coming from that.
    6) it would seem that a lot of aid to Ukraine is being channeled back to US weapons builders. this has been admitted by officials of our gov.
the fact is nobody seem to have much of a clue how much, when, where any of it went. #s thrown around go to 60 billion $s but nothing has been really determined re totals.
the reasons or justifications it was sent are argued all over the place and on here a lot.

About 40% of the money earmarked for Ukraine was for actual weapons. Those weapons are made in the US.

So the 40% of the aid was actually a back door way to pump money into the economy with out “printing” money ..causing less inflation.

It was another way Biden admin could say it’s creating jobs etc, but in reality it was another stimulus package.

The other 50%+ it’s prob a mix of payoffs and waste as always..we’ll never find out.

Since the war began, we've spent less than 3% of our yearly allotted defense budget on assisting Ukraine defend themselves from a neighbor intent on fulfilling the restoration of a rotten empire, capable now only of conquering land it can only occupy after completely killing or displacing its inhabitants through a sheer volume of expendable dumb munitions and army of expendable meat waves. That defense budget, which to some people is a totally misunderstood principle, exists to cement our ability to protect and project our ability to enforce our will at home and across the globe. This 3% of the defense budget, which is less than 1.5% of our total budget, hasn't resulted in increased taxes or required funding being pulled from other sources. We've offloaded, replaced and upgraded expired and expiring munitions, vehicles and aircraft, spun up our ability to mass manufacture the aforementioned that did, in fact, create thousands of jobs, maintained our defense manufacturing base and stimulate our economy. Aid packages have been pushed through the unilaterally, as using the money set aside to counter and crush our hegemonic, economic and ideological adversaries while expending exactly zero uniformed American lives is pretty fucking obviously a good expenditure of our defense budget. As of April 18, 2025 our return on investment has been confirmed through verifiable OSINT:

My opinion is that we should have spent exactly zero. With a strong president here, this war would have never started. Weak-ass bidumb allowed, or even encouraged, this to happen to foster more graft and corruption.

The Ukraine never really existed as a standalone country, always as a territory of another country, and it has been a hotbed of corruption and human trafficking.

Can you explain to me what could a strong president, without just saying "trump wouldve" could have done, while spending exactly zero dollars, to have prevented the russia from invading Ukraine?

Furthermore, how long, in your opinion, does a country need to be a "standalone country", before you would recognize it as its own sovereign country?

Not helped coup the government in 2014 for starters

Implying Ukrainians living in their own country have no agency in their political process and that the CIA is competent enough to suddenly flip a russian leaning population wanting to live under the fold of putins regime, into a western leaning population overnight is a great example of american main-character syndrome.

Trying to suggest that western influence didn't push/help it is 100% incorrect.

    Schemers always scheming
And they're scheming all the time
By the flicker of the campfire the scheming dimly shine
And they laugh and fantasize about the prize
If the color's fresh and creamy they will snatch it from the rise
    Aw, schemers wretched scheming
    Scheme on into the night
Always formulating plans while tucked well out of sight
And they laugh and carry on without the fear
Of knowing the ramifications of the walls with tiny ears
    Scheming always scheming
And they're scheming all the time
Weasly little schemers they got scamming on their minds
Enamoring the masses less than wise
The most successful schemers tell the most collosal lies

Cant refute a single point and defer to post count and use of social media as an appeal to authority- yep, he's a fucking retard.
    Shut the fuck up, faggot
Do you call everyone you disagree with a faggot because you're stupid, or because you're a closeted homosexual yourself?

Can you define western influence, or quantify with any honest certainty how much and exactly or even roughly to which extent outside agencies and influence swayed the will of the people, without dodging the question and pointing to the deep state boogieman?
Did you watch the video of John McCain pledging to support Ukraine?

    I just showed you some.

    Are you really that dense?

I have yet to see anyone in any media spigot discuss the fact that Trump was the only US President to send actual weapons to Ukraine prior to 2022, and those weapons were instrumental in stopping armored columns when Putin kicked off the “SMO”. Ukraine paid for them as well.

The timing of Trump’s weapons sales to Ukraine was interesting, because it just happened to coincide right after Putin sent an entire armored battle group to try to wipe out a tiny contingent of US SOF soldiers in Syria in Feb 2018, over the established deconfliction line (Euphrates River). Trump’s response to that attack was to annihilate the Russian forces with extreme prejudice.

Remember that every US President since 1991 actively worked to disarm Ukraine, or ignore them. Clinton, Obama, and Biden were instrumental in disarming Ukraine, and coercing NATO partner nations not to send weapons to them. Clinton, Obama, and Biden have been on Soviet payroll for generations. They got Clinton when he traveled to the USSR to dodge the rape cases he committed in England when he was at Oxford trying to be a Rhodes Scholar, dodging the draft.

They financed Biden’s Senate campaign in 1972 (he was a nobody that magically won the Senate race in Delaware, which was ripe for manipulation due to low population). Pedophiles are cheaper to bribe for the poor Russian intelligence services.

Trump is the only one who had a totally different approach, not on Russian payroll because he legitimately made his money, unlike spineless sell-out politicians who instead of adding any value to society, have only enriched their corporate and foreign donors.

Trump and Putin have had an ongoing feud that has reached levels no US President would even go near.

Trump’s energy policies hurt Russia more than anything, and if people were unsure about it prior to 2019, Trump eliminated all doubts when he threatened to make Putin’s Nordstream 2 pipeline part of the US NDAA. He literally threatened Germany to stop helping Putin make Europe more beholden to Russian Natural Gas with Nordstream 2.

There have been things behind the scenes that Putin did to try to escalate things militarily, and Trump shut those down too. Every time, Trump has to force Putin to realize he is nothing but a little punk, while not openly humiliating him.

I don’t see anybody getting this story right in the media, including the lightweights on foreign policy who call themselves conservatives.

Only a retard would support an unwinnable war.

I won't shit on your grammar, but that would've been funnier if you'd kept the poem going. To your point about unwinnable wars, all wars are unwinnable if you haven't the means and/or will to fight, from the American revolution to the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan. You're right, I don't speak for your tax dollars, but our elected representatives do, and overwhelmingly agreed to commit a tiny fraction of our budget that was already allocated to be spent on American power projection and exceptionalism- before it became apparent that sleepy joe didn't stand a chance before Trump when he shit his pants at the debate.

Saying you've already refuted a point is the same as telling someone to go find evidence to back up your own unsubstantiated claim- it's a non-answer relegated to those who have no argument and no evidence to support their bullshit stance. Things that are valid and true are typically pretty easy to back up and don't require ad-hominem like calling someone a white knight, snowflake or libtard when you disagree with them. I agree with you that saying "I support x" is not the same as actually doing something about it, and those with courage in their convictions should walk the walk instead of talking the talk.

Why should I continue to educate the willingly blind?
I noticed you've glazed over the money laundering.
You disagree with what others in these forums will support so feel you hold a higher standing.
Most of what is in this picture could be bought.
How much are you paid for editing/grammar?
This ^^^ is known as ad hominem attack.

If you're posting through some Stephen Hawking style, 1980's word processor from a wheelchair I totally get it, and I'm sorry dude, but computers have come a long way since you first discovered tapatalk and facebook to keep track of your grandchildren. Plane, train and bus tickets have for the most part gone entirely paperless. It's no wonder your generation is getting sucked dry by Indian scam call centers sending you fake screenshots of your bank account. It's sad, really. Just remember, if they ask for an amazon gift card or western union transfer, JUST HANG UP.

Before you repost Russian nonsense about Olena Zelenska's non-existent cars, evidence of which you will never provide, because it does not exist. It would be more useful to notice more important events right under your nose, if you are really who you say you are.
    For example
The employees grew concerned that the NLRB's confidential data could be exposed, particularly after they started detecting suspicious log-in attempts from an IP address in Russia, according to the disclosure. Eventually, the disclosure continued, the IT department launched a formal review of what it deemed a serious, ongoing security breach or potentially illegal removal of personally identifiable information. The whistleblower believes that the suspicious activity warrants further investigation by agencies with more resources, like the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency or the FBI.

Upstate NY farmer shocked by Trump tariffs, mistakenly thought Canada would pay

But of course this is your forum, and your time is wasted on lies.
You can continue to send everyone to hell, it doesn't make anyone feel neither warm nor cold.

npr? you're not serious, are you?

Do you call everyone you disagree with a faggot because you're stupid, or because you're a closeted homosexual yourself?

I call people all sorts of nasty names because I don’t respect them, not because we disagree on something. I don’t have any respect for anyone who still has these opinions of the Ukraine war. And I’m sure just about every opinion you have on some of the most important issues these days are fucking stupid. You sound like a fucking midwit npc character who watches the nightly corporate news to be told what to say to everyone the next day. I’m not going to try refuting anything you say because even if something got past the candy coating in your skull the cognitive dissonance that would occur would cause you to spontaneously combust. Fuck you and fuck everyone who sympathizes with you

Actually, I’ll give you some advice. Take it or leave it, it’s up to you. When you watch your corporate news diarrhea your immediate reaction should be to believe the exact opposite of what you’re hearing

Is it possible for someone to disagree with you on a single thing but share the same views on others, or in your mind is anyone who disagrees with you on the best beer thereafter a midwit npc who gets their information from whatever media source you think of as illegitimate? Where do you learn about ongoing current events? Are you simply omnipotent and always the smartest person on the room?

    why are you mad?

    Tanks destroyed: 2838, damaged: 158, abandoned: 388, captured: 533.
Armored Fighting Vehicles destroyed: 1637, damaged: 36, abandoned: 113, captured: 273
Engineering Vehicles And Equipment destroyed: 386, damaged: 48, abandoned: 58, captured: 154
    Aircraft destroyed: 122, damaged: 17

Wow. The propaganda is strong with this one.

Tell me what the response would be if Russia set up 40+ biolabs, was pumping money into the government, had a large number of KGB influencers working with the government, supplying weapons and dangling an invite to join them with the promise of protection to Mexico. Then Mexico amasses troops along the border and claims that Texas, Arizona and New Mexico still belong to them and start shelling them when they tell Mexico to get lost.
Do you find it funny that Russia is bad because they "invaded" Ukraine but it was righteous when the USA invaded Afghanistan, Iraq and multiple other countries?

Wait till its all over and then we start the "rebuild" process.... Its all just a money machine. Billions in contracts will be awarded to all the companies owned by politicians to "rebuild". Its the same blueprint they use on every war and conflict. Its probably the main reason we get involved in everything, so we can pay to rebuild it afterwards. As long as its appeared as "helping" no one cares. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Gotta build a beautiful place for the muzzies to destroy. They breed like rats but at least it'll be a place for them to go and slow down the influx to the rest of the west

Invading Iraq and Afghan was an abject political, strategic and moral failure. Are you another one of those "if he disagrees with me on one topic, he disagrees with me on all" or are you capable of critical thinking?

They'd be free to do whatever the fuck they want, as they're a sovereign neighboring country, as much as your neighbor living next-door is free to arm themselves because you're an alcoholic retard with a long and historied, as well as recent, pattern of committing home invasions and killing your neighbors- Or do you think you have the right to invade your neighbor, kill their wife, rape their kids, shoot their dog and claim their house as yours because they are armed to prevent you from doing so?

The biolab disinformation campaign fell off in 2022 when it received low engagement compared to other marketing campaigns the russia shat out all over twitter and facebook aimed at conservative identifying 65+ year olds, so it's not surprising to see it still lingers in the minds of people who will base their moral and political opinions around twitter screenshots if it even vaguely makes them feel like it brings validity to their contrarian political stance.

    Just moved the goal post.

Can you clear up what you mean by biolab? Do you assume all biological laboratories are conducting gain of function tests to produce biological weapons? In your colorful and comparative imagination, did we also invade and annex baja in 2014, and Havana in 2008? If you don't answer every single line of text in a post are you also moving the goalposts, or is that just your "A-HAH!" card you pull on special occasions?

Obviously, our soft powers through economic coercion, legislative, intelligence agencies and other means would be flexed to influence our neighbor to encourage an outcome favorable to a more favorable US stategic position. We certainly wouldn't have retard-rushed towards Mexico city to dismantle the existing, and install our own puppet government, while taking hundreds of thousands of casualties, only to stall and bleed out over the crumbled remains of Juarez.
