The A3-5 is a hybrid with a forend that is like a McMillan A3 and a backend that is like the McMillan A5.

Really, you can't google McM and look at the pictures?
No, the A3 forend is not an A4 forend. If the A3-5 had an A4 forend, I think the guys at McM would be bright enough to call it an A4-5....

REALLY, arent you just that funny ???? i did and i never seen any that had a full front on shot that showed that, almost all were side views

This question is what I made my comment from. the descriptions given on the website in conjunction with the pictures are pretty clear, even without frontal shots.

Additionally, "whats the difference between mcm a5 and a a3-5-does anyone know?" is pretty vague and looks like you hadn't bothered to look for yourself.

If u want the butt hook and a narrow forend the a3-5 is what u want. I shoot an a5 but whish I had gone with the a3-5.

Edge? What edge are you talking about? The two photos show very clearly what the differences in the stocks are. I knew the first time I looked at McMillan's site what the differences between an A3, A4, A5 and A3-5 were...as I'm sure everyone else here did. If you want more information than is described on the site you really ought to make your question more detailed. Start by telling us what edge you are referring to...
(or simply glance over those three large threads that BobinNC posted. You can see all the edges you like in those threads.)

The regular A-5 (but with the adjustable cheekpiece w/ knobs) looks exactly like the A3-5.
I can see how you got confused. Some A-5's come with no Adj. Cheekpiece and there are some with the plastic Adj. Cheekpice and then the type with the Adj. Cheekpice with the turning knobs (internal in the stock i.e. KMW )
