Lots of information floating around on this round. So far it's pretty much fact that the case is an FC, the Primer a FGMM 210 and the bullet a 175 SMK.
Now for the powder. I've heard various comments that it's RL-15 but also have seen "documentation" that the powder is IMR-4064 and charge weight 41.75 gr.
Then I read posts on various forums that claim the actual charge weight is more like 42.3 to 42.8 grains.
Has anyone ever laid their hands on an "as issued" round and been able to dump and weight the powder? Also check case "water capacity" to determine if the FC case used in the "official" ammo is a different case than used by Federal for their standard GMM ammo.
Just curious. Like the case, like the primer, like the bullet, like the powder, and would love to be able to duplicate the round.
