Maggie’s What's Your View II

Yessir my friend. 'Another' 7MM Rem Mag. I really, REALLY love this caliber. They've been very good to me. They all seem to love Bergers, hold the cheese. This will be filling the 1:8 twist for my 180's that I didn't have. AND, it's thee only gun with a Brake on it I now own. Not a Break guy, but this will be fun. Don't have to worry about Muzzle Blast cuz there ain't nobody gonna be on my Port or Starboard. :p This is gonna be a bad rammer jammer when Larry is done with it. I'm thinking a Manners. We'll see.

Get a can for it. You'll giggle like a little school girl. You'll go "schweeeee"..........;)

The migration continues, slowly, painfully, even. Allow me to share.

Dogwoods in bloom at the back corner of "civilization." I watched three deer bolt across the road down front the other day and disappear into our woods. The missus doesn't understand yet why her doggy must be leashed.

A new old house means repairs. Some of them, I'm doing, and others, like the new rooves on the garage and two-thirds of the main house, I'm paying for. Above me, a gazebo frame and one of our walnut trees.

The sweet smell of informational technology. This guy was a cross between Jim Carrey's Cable Guy and the Verizon dweeb. However ...

We ... got ... Hide!

Mattress shopping, because nieces, nephews, and other relations need somewhere to sleep for the holidays. We watched a spectacular sunset at the end of a long day while I ate take-out mei fun.

My inane perfectionist locksmith, who still isn't done, even as I type this. I'm still half-considering an uphill, triple-S solution on this character.

1700: a Hopperesque moment of tranquility at a Dunkin' Donuts in town, after shopping for filler pieces to stage the old place for sale. A donut shop without Cambodians, Chinese, or Desis? Weird.

$15 – whatta bargain! And no, not filler.

"Why no, Daddy, no, I didn't know you were here, too, and no, I wasn't going to jump out and follow Mommy into the store." Riiiiight.

I'm aghast. Where in the hell are we moving to? I must become the light at 9th and Passyunk to enlighten the Gentiles!

Yet more shopping for staging filler. That'll probably be what's left of me by the time we get done, plus a turban and six inches taller.

Just so you Southwesterners know, we got culture here, too. An added bonus is that the deer won't touch it.

So, of course I buy it, and an Agri-Fab 44" sweeper, and then it rains for two weeks.

I have begun my campaign to confuse the shit out of the locals in earnest. So far, it's working.

I scared the bejeesus out of Poindexter here, whilst investing in yet more networking infrastructure to support and maintain two home offices in the boonies. The poor bastard was actually wearing cream-colored buckskin tie-ups and a pink bow tie straight outta Who Framed Roger Rabbit? I was pissed, surly, still had my sunglasses on, and wasn't too happy when he invaded my personal space trying to stick his fucking commission sticker on shit that he didn't sell me.

It runs the whole time we are open. Back when I first started doing this, we ran most of the rides with old allis chalmers power plants. Little engines with a clutch fitted to them. They were loud, hot and maintenance heavy. They needed fueled at least twice a day. They really added to the sound of a midway though!

We've converted everything over to electric motors now and the generator powers everything. It runs from and hour before we open until about an hour after closing time. This one is a 300kw and has an ISM or ISX cummins in it. They tent to be a little fuel hungry. This one replace a 855 cummins powered generator a couple years ago.

Ha! My GF works near where TS took that picture and ran out to move her new ride into the garage. Her old car was totalled out last year in the hail storm.

TS - I was caught in that at the zoo with my daughter’s field trip. We made it into the fish exhibit and only got some rain as we headed for the bus. The hail was done fortunately. A few 5-6” deep puddles I got to carry 5 kindergardeners through so their feet werent too wet.

Are you saying you're the hippo I. That picture?! ?

I am little bigger than that.....
all 5'7' and 148 lbs of me!
fortunately I decided to wear my Chacos so I just had to roll up my pants and it was no big deal to get my feet wet. Little kids with soaked shoes and socks having to walk sounds like a recipe for disaster. I can imagine the whining now......

My truck was parked right by the Jeffco Stadium and just has some leaves on it from the shredding of the trees. Nothing else. Just adding to my "truck ghille". I kinda want to add more quote marks just for fun....." "
