Re: When do you carry?
I used to carry most of the time. However, I have a family now, and the risk of loosing my family is greater if I get caught carrying than the risk of ending up in a confrontation. My home is always protected. I remember the one time I left my shotgun out of reach in the night, I was woken by a loud bang, the sound of glass shattering. The first thing that came to my mind was that this was the biggest mistake of my life. There had been a string of home invasions that summer and just a few days earlier a family not far away was invaded, tied up, beaten half to death and robbed. It turned out to that a fixture had come off on a large glass shelf and crashed to the floor. I think it was a sign to show that bad luck will always try to exploit your mistakes, so never make the mistake of not being prepared.
