I hadn’t seen that one before. Guy was an amazing pilot based on his numbers and longevity. I’ve got a few Robert Taylor prints and one of them is “Knights of the Eastern Front” that was signed by Hartmann and a number of other German aces from the war in the east.

Years ago, read Adolf Galland's book. I think about the same time I read Yeager's book. Interesting counterpoints.

Those German pilots were in for the duration. No 25 mission rotation. No hope but victory, POW camp or a fiery death.

Some tough dudes.
