Us citizens wont work?

News to me

All I see is government outlawing folks from going to work and pushing businesses to fire people.

Do you have your head so far up your ass to realize there has been a shortage of people willing to work before covid, covid relief money, and now that they are firing people over a bullshit vaccine mandate? Look at the amount of businesses that have closed the doors, shortened hours and are providing shit service due to lack of staff since the covid relief money. That has zero to do with firing people over a vaccine mandate or even doing away with elective procedures. Yes, the government is doing a great job of fucking up this country. There is no denying that unless you are fucking special...

Let me be clear, illegals should be stopped from entering the country. I'm all for the people that want to come here legally and work.

I'll reiterate, although anyone who is at all cognitive of their surroundings will already know, I've never seen so many "Now Hiring" banners in front of businesses. It's like "Not Hiring" pictures out of the
Depression, only the opposite.

A local family owned hamburger joint thats been a landmark for years recently closed with only a handwritten note on the door "Closed because of no employees. If you need a job or know anyone that does, call this # ---." WTF??

Others and I have been trying to figure it out, what is this black hole thats sucking in so many people? How can they afford to sit at home and play on their Playstations and still pay their bills, eat, drink, and in the illegals case, drink beer, grill their carne and send money home? All that costs money.
The stimi and unemployment checks stopped months ago.

We know it's Biden's communist globalist backed administration shutting the economy down and turning America's workforce into lazy, dependent sheep. We get that, but where do these people go to sign up, including many that aren't even legal citizens?

Before covid, there was legislation in the pipeline that any able bodied adults, with no dependents, must work or be in school or lose their food stamps.
Unsurprisingly leftys had a fit.

Maybe that applies to fast food workers, but for those who are working adult jobs that covid money wasn’t even close to what they were making working.

I dunno. I only make like $60k and word is people making like $54k via Covid money which fucking pisses me off, if true.
When they pass the 3.5 trillion bill that $54K will be increased and turned into a life time salary. Thats the way you turn the Nation into socialism, you get paid to stay home which at first is pretty good hard to say no to. Eventually though you'll be reduced to picking in garbage cans for food like Venezuela when socialism runs its course. Your not going to be able to stop it unfortunately wheels are already in motion, unless 80 million people decide to initiate a reset in the next month or so.

I agree. In 2019 when Trump was still in office I was hearing landscapers and those in the trades saying "Nobody wants to work." The job corners had the usual day labors loitering around but when people drove up looking for labor they would no longer mob the truck, rather, many wouldn't even look up from fingerbanging their cell phones. Maybe one might finally gesture like 'What you want?' and if you tell them they mumble to the others and say no.

Not sure if I posted it here, about a month or two into covid I got furlowed, I got to collect the sweet Covid bucks!

Initially I was going to call up the local Ferrari dealer and a relator as according to the news I was about to hit it big, very exciting!!!

When I got the first few checks, it was laughable, frankly I spend more on going out to eat and Starbucks that those pissant checks, now in the industry I was already talking to a few companies, and I’d probably go insane if I just sat at home, so I knew I wasn’t going to be “living large” on this pittance for long, and about a month and change later I was onboard with another company and even got a bump in quality of life at the new place.

That said, the checks I got for that month or two, maybe that’s hitting it big if you’re 19 and work at Burger King, but for a grown man living a grown man’s life they were a fucking joke.

Considering unemployment is between $350 and $500 depending upon the state you live in and whether you have kids or not. Then add on the $600 weekly covid stimulus that was given for the unemployed, your numbers were correct. I said it before that people were fucking stupid for working for similar or less money. Those numbers are more than "fast food" wages. A lot of people that work in smaller cities or in rural areas don't make that kind of money without working overtime.

If any of those people used their head, they put money back and are living off off it now that the extra money is gone. Most didn't but there are some that aren't stupid.

Most trades are short staffed. I laughed when the one rental company decided to switch from f450 to f250 trucks to avoid DOT regulations. 60 hours isn't enough for the employees so they decided to go that route in order to get 70-80 hour work weeks. The amount of operators, laborers, truck drivers and mechanic positions that needs to be filled is sad. A lot of those want to pay $20 an hour even though fast food are offering up to $15 an hour even though minimum wage hasn't hit $15 an hour.

I have tried to figure out how much someone can receive in benefits, its complicated if you don't know the system

At the worst I think I calculated $55k/year for a single mom with 3 kids living in Alabama (state does matter)

SNAP/EBT whatever you want to call food stamps is $835/month for 4 people households
There was a $600 federal kicker on top of state unemployment (pretty sure this is dead now, as of 9/8/21)
AL unemployment could max at $275/week

I am not sure how you add on section 8 housing as it appears to be a percentage of income
and don't forget about Obummer care, all free at poverty level

then there are some local support benefits one can find, food banks, churches etc

If you add it all up, I am sure you are over $60k/year, even if you only figure the section 8 handout at $300/month and Obummer care at $300/month (even though I pay a ton more than that for family health insurance)

Then I am not sure how income taxes play out if you are in this scenario. You might even get a tax credit paid back to you at the end of the year as a bonus for accepting all the handouts

Anyone calculate this better?

The $600/week from feds ending might change things and make some so seek employment. I have seen fast food places only have enough employees to open the drive through, and the lines are around the building. Others randomly closed with no one to work. Anyone looking for work now should be able to find it.

I look at this shit and it finally dawns on me why prepping has never been attractive.

The grand majority of Preppers have, as expected, been prepping for the wrong disaster.

So few of us ever expected a Spineless Moron Sock Puppet to be elected to the Oval Office, with all the trappings of nascent Communism. Reminds me of Kukla, Fran, and Ollie.

Silly us....

We wanted to live through the storm. Personally; I'd prefer an early death to survival where this nation is headed.

t$1000-$1500 a week here would be great money. In Massachusetts? 🤣😂 no way I could live off that.

sShit! I heard ChickFilA was paying $19.80 an hour here cause they can’t find people. Absolutely fucking insanity. I have experience and degrees in all kinds of shit and I’m not bringing but about $11/hr. More than that. There really isn’t much I can do lol, but I do like my schedule and what time I have with the fam. I could get about $20k-$30k more but by the time I got to pay the man his share, imo it ain’t worth the hours or the time away from kids.

How in the fuck are people getting $55k a year in AL for doing nothing? That’s insanity. The avg good wage in AL is $45k-$75k. Top earners in AL avg about $78k!!! In the end after the tax man gets his cut, those sitting on their ass are coming out better!

That's just it, i think the extra covid pay was necessary for some people in certain areas or for the people that lost healthcare temporarily and had to pay for insurance out of pocket. Where I live, the average wage for skilled workers is $20-30 an hour so people were begging to be laid off. Some companies pulled shady shit and worked people one or two weeks then let them draw unemployment the rest of the month to keep workers happy.

Like 7 or 8 hundred a week, it was a joke

Maybe it’s more in high tax high socialist states

Personally I was all for it, though I think it should be matched to what you made before, plus 20% inconvenience fee, and payed for by taxes on the paychecks and savings of those who supported the illegal “lock downs” and criminalizing of folks going to work.

Want to fuck me out of a job because of your hysteria, you sure as shit can pay me.

Normally if someone’s mental illness causes someone else damages, that person or their estate is responsible for said damages.

I am making assumptions as I don't know how it works
but
there was a way to get a job and lose it again and start benefits all over
so 52 weeks of consistent pay is not going to happen
so maybe I over estimated by $6000 or so, how about $49k/year
then you add any rent that you no longer have to pay (and factor taxes there, you pay rent using after tax money)
then factor in any health care freebies that might come from Obummer care
then I have no idea the tax credit

Even if I am still off a bit, I see equivalent to $50k in overall value being handed out, not necessarily cash.

Ridiculous. I have no words!

As a group we could take care of it day or night. What I think is holding everyone back is the minute people step in it's going to be a large scale Rittenhouse situation I think.

If someone were to ring the bell and say 'gloves off' in about 2-3 days you would have 5 to 10,000 armed citizens down there. The problem is no one wants to wind up in prison.
Would be one hell of a case for a prosecutor to prove.

I’m thinking if I roll up enough cartel I should be able to liberate a lot of new tools for Americans to use to do American stuff in America.. especially the stuff the real do mast ik tear or ist mr pot tator is doing. Anyone able to find me a winter work vacation in border town united of with enough gear to get started?

LOL, sounds like something out of those "Purge" movies.... imagine if the state of Texas declared something like that within their state borders? ....firing across the border would violate US federal laws I would imagine, akin to an "act of war", guess recorded night vision vids to show proof of "self-defense" might be considered?

Sadly we all know the “just doing our jobs” boys would attack Americans to protect Mexicans shooting into America, well before the inverse.

........ What is it going to take to make this shit stop?........

It won't until people smarten the fuck up and stop electing Democrats. The political scale keeps tipping, because every one of these Covid ridden, brainless idiots, who is running, jumping, and swimming over here, is a potential Democratic voter. You just saw what happened in California. Not only couldn't they get Newsom out, but he was kept in by a LANDSLIDE.

This is what happens when you pack a state with minorities, that was once productive. In the case of California, the skilled jobs disappear, (aircraft and high tech), and are replaced with sidewalk dwellers who shit in the streets, and vote for handouts. They almost flipped Texas the last time. (Cruz barely won against the anti gun communist Beto O'Rourke). If this keeps up, and it will, he'll lose next time around. Then Texas will go the way of California.

There couldn't possibly be enough outrage because of this. The fact is, there is practically none. Instead, everyone sits on the curb and bitches, while these worthless assholes pile in here, and get bused or flown all over the country. Much like planting crabgrass on a golf course.

Biden campaign.. "You want your $2000? Vote for me!" He LITERALLY said this...

Then the democrats proceeded to stop all evictions, and dump billions of dollars on all the voters who make below a certain level of income. It was a massive transfer of wealth and massive vote buying effort...

I don't know where the other trillions of dollars went that they spent... I'm sure 10% went to the big guy and his family.

Supposed to be thousands more heading north.

Gotta lower those labor costs.

Lower labor value for big corp by importing 3rd world skill less people, who also are used to overreaching and abusive regimes, now increase inflation making 15hr look like a lot of money, yet keeping it real world more like 8hr.

Sounds like a hell of a deal for the corporate branch of government, and formal branches elites who will ride their coat tails.

Heard the one local manufacturer has been getting housing ready to bring in people on work visas because they can't get enough workers. Should be interesting since that factory is union. I'm still just hearing rumors from people I know that work there.

700 a week is like what a barista or bartender probably makes
700 in 2-3 shifts. Depending on where you work, what shifts you get and how good you are you can average $25- 30+ an hr in the service industry as a food server at a decent restaurant and bartenders generally do better as they get bars customers tips, tipped out by servers for making drinks and hourly min wage. Generally in a resturant, the bartender makes more per hr than the management.

Especially if the bartender steals the tip jar money like AOC would do instead of splitting it with the waiters/waitresses.

“Brah, I can make like $500 a shift”

I see them working every night

same bartender
“Man I hope my roommate pays rent this month, I’m saving up for that $2500 Corolla the mangers kid has for sale, sick of walking to work”

My nephew was a bartender back in 2016. He couldn't afford his own place and still lived at home. He ended up joining the army .

500 a shift average... na

Around 200 in tips plus time pay is not out of question as an average, for a GOOD bartender at a GOOD restaurant. The place you work matters.

The thing is most people in that industry blow the money irresponsibly, many drink it away parting after their shifts and have shit money management skill.

I have spent some time slinging plates and drinks as a sever, I normally made between 25-30 an hr when doing it.

A South Texas Rancher friend who owns a ranch 40 miles from Laredo has said that encounters with illegal aliens and fences ran through etc have become a weekly occurrence. In the past 2 weeks the illegals have tried to break into the ranch foreman's house in the middle of the day while wife was there alone. This past weeks illegals were banging on ranch owners door at 3:00AM, demanding a ride to a town 20 miles away. Brandishing weapons has ran them off both times.
These aren't the ones that are coming across and turning themselves in to Border Patrol, these are people that are avoiding it for some reason.
What is reported on the news doesn't even come close to what S. Texas ranchers and other rural residents are dealing with. I can't help but wonder what may be happening on ranches without peaceful people like these.

That's true in most ALL trades or professions. You have cardiovascular surgeons out there pulling in $450K a year... And they're going broke because they're trying to live on $550K. How many NFL pros are bankrupt, 2 years after they retire from the league, after playing through multi million dollar contracts?

It's not what you make. It's what you do with it AFTER you make it.

This is very true. I know a girl that used to be a stripper that is making like $100 an hour as a nurse anesthetist or something like that and her husband does ok to but neither of them ever seem to have any money. If I was making $100 an hour I wouldn’t be lacking in anything.

835 a month now, or 835 a month before the COVID increase. They are paying around 200% more now than they were before via COVID rules. They are trying to make that increase in benefits permanent.
