With the recent addition of my Remington 700, I'm running out of space in my small gun "cabinet" where I store both my guns and ammo. For those that store them separately, where do you usually keep it? Also, where do you keep range stuff like ear pro, rear bags, etc.?

Several years ago, my wife bought me one of the Sears metal storage cabinets:

I use plastic ammo cans for shotgun ammo.
Rifle and pistol rounds go in the gun safe with the guns - not a ton of rounds so it doesn't take up much room.
Range stuff all just stays in the bag I take with me, Except for my spotting scope which I sometimes throw in the safe too.

Guns, scopes and anything else expensive goes into the safe. Ammo goes into a Stack On gun locker. This is hypothetically speaking if I ever owned guns or ammo but those things are bad. People should grow flowers instead of shooting guns.

Buried weapons do you no good.
I like the stack-on lockers for ammo and mags too.

If I had any ammo; I would keep my match grade ammo in my large safe with the rifles.
All other ammo goes in ammo cans and in the smaller safe.

You guys have ammo? All my stuff got lost in the Great Flood of 2012. Buried atleast 10' deep in bullshit.

My factory ammo is mostly in ammo cans, my reloads mostly in plastic ammo boxes in my basement.

Large locking plastic file storage boxes, clear, hard plastic, with locking handles. I stock them and separate them by long rifle and assault, pistol, and shotgun. I have 3.

Pistol ammo is reloaded in great bunch a ocupies a large plastic bucket under the worktable. Rifle - I only have about 200pcs of brass that I keep turning around, so it´s allways lying around the table in different handfulls of different reloading stage

Oh, in addition to ammo cans and stackons, I like to keep the 5.56 and 7.62 on strippers stacked in the ammo cans, just like they come in the army. Just a habit, and I have around 100lbs. of them. 1180 or some such fits in a can (I forget and don't want to dig it out, its painted on the side). I'll probably try this with .300BLK too. I tried to use AK strippers for 6.5G but it didn't work too well, sold 'em to an AK fan.
I HATE loading mags one by one, and I figure if I NEED it NOW, I'll want them like that.
