Except RL 33 is not listed anywhere on that chart. So far, all of the data in various calibers is showing RL 33 to be 3% slower than Retumbo. Where will RL 26 and RL 23 be when they come out?

Just above RL-22 and RL 25?

Much like reloading manuals, burn rate charts are just a loose guide, since burn rate is affected by a particular cartridge case's capacity.

If you have two powders that are close in general burn rate characteristics, one might be faster burning in say a 308 Win. case, for instance, than the other, but be slower that the other in another particular cartridge case.

Which is why you can use Varget in 45-70 and 308 Win. H1000 works great in 243 Win and 338 Lapua. The ratio of case capacity and bore diameter is relativly proportional to approprate burn rate with higher numbers calling for faster powders. I worked out a rough equation with powders coded for burn rate then calculated some means but I forgot how to run an analysis of variance, tukeys hsd, and Chi-square. A Pearson correlation showed r = .661 with p < .001 so I was pretty close. Anyone care to give it a shot and school me a little?

Should work decent in 264 WM. RL-33 is my current go-to powder in my 338LM Improved - w/ velocities equal to V.V.570. Before I found RL-33 the go-to powder in my 338 LM Improved was Retumbo.

FYI it takes a lot more RL-33 to hit max in my 338 LM Improved than Retumbo.

I have also heard some things about RL-50 that makes me consider trying it in my 338LM Improved; it might work in your .264 WM as well.
