My scale says New Jersey on the Bottom but how do I know for sure where it was made. I wanted to send mine to Scott Parker if he still does calibration but he will only work on the USA made ones.

Yours was made by "Ohaus" In New Jersey, one of the good ole USA scales. These are the good ones.My scale says New Jersey on the Bottom but how do I know for sure where it was made. I wanted to send mine to Scott Parker if he still does calibration but he will only work on the USA made ones.
It's actually on the base "made in USA"

I sent RCBS an e-mail a while back and they responded that the 10-10 scales were made in Mexico for a while but are being made in China now. It is my understanding that this happened after 2000 but I can not confirm the date for sure. I do know that if it is stamped on the bottom of the scale manufactured by Ohaus Scale Corp Florham Park N.J. U.S.A. It was made here in the States if it was prior to 2000. Stingrayguy, did you purchase both scales new? If not this may explain the "box" situation.
