Be wary of the 5.56 stripper clips on eBay unless you can communicate with the seller and be certain of what you are getting. A friend of mine bought some off there last year and when they arrived, depite being listed a "like new, surplus condition" they were badly bent, many of the tabs were broken and many were completely useless.
Hopefully the guys at MidwestPX can hook you up. I probably have some that I can send you if you don't get all you need from MidwestPX.

I found some good, new, unused ones on Ebay complete with card boxes and a cloth bandolier. When they arrived I went over all of them with a fine toothcomb - no problems. I'll try to find the vendor again and PM you if I'm succesful.

This is where I buy my stripper clips from. Comes with Cardboards as well. All have been in good condition, no bends or broken tabs.

If you knew anything about the corps then you'd know that being in a recon platoon means exactly squat. When he shows his stack we'll see if all that shit talking is backed up by some experience, specifically combat experience.

Whoa man, relax. FYI, I do know my way around the USMC pretty well. I was a pig in a STA platoon, I'll admit it. Op-tempo was such that not everyone was getting sent to Sniper School. I did operate as a sniper, with my own 40 and the whole nine, but I do not wear a tooth around my neck. Does that make me less of a man? Maybe, but that's just the way it is.
In my experience, most everyone in Recon is a better Marine than 99% of the infantry. I know they're not Force Recon and I know they're not doing a lot of direct action stuff, but still some good guys. I think any time you have a selection process to get into a unit, you're going to have a much better end result. Yes, combat action is probably more important than most training, but you and I both know there are tons of people with combat action ribbons and multiple deployments that didn't see jack-shit for real deal combat. Simply going to Iraq does not constitute combat. Likewise, wandering around on senseless patrols with a bunch of other "Halo-junkies" doesn't either.
Anyway, just my .02. To the OP, I don't know where you can get clips.

Your certainly right. It has been my experience that anytime there is another vetting process the quality of the average guy goes up drastically. It just makes sense.
I don't personally know anyone with a CAR that didn't earn it.
