Where to get hvy bbl 30-06.....?

I'm gtg for 308 bolt guns, got a few.

After much knashing, hem hawing, internal struggle, heartache, etc, ( maybe not that bad), I've decided my next is going to be an 06.

My problem is; I can't seem to find any barreled actions, or built rifles for sale. It seems like a custom job, which, I desperately want to avoid (wait times).

So am I missing a maker somewhere that has this? I'm wanting a 700 blueprint action, so I can use an AICS, and 26" bbl, with a twist good for 175's to 208's. I want it threaded, but realize I can send it off for that,, and have it back rather quickly.

Pound sand? Or is some good news for me out there?

I've got one with a rock bbl in rem varmint contour I might sell. Work was done by don Geraci and chad Dixon. It's on a SS Rem action. Pm if interested

I just sent my 3006 m70 to my smith for work. Action trued, new barrel, new stock. 3006 rifles are popular up here I would think you could find used ones just about anywhere.

I can't help you out on a '06, but I can sell you a 26" 300 WSM barreled action with a bartlein 1/10 5R rem varmint contour barrel on a trued R700 receiver. Threaded for a Badger FTE, which I can include as well.

Yep, I can find all over around here as well..... But with those cute little skinny barrels, and faux paus looking stocks. I'd have to buy one, then acquire parts, an send it off to a smith and wait an obscene amount of time before my dream was to be in my sweaty hands...
