I've been looking around on google and the only place that sells Mark II 5 round mags is cheaper than dirt and they have ridiculous shipping costs. I.e., For just two 5 round mags, they are charging $12 for ground shipping. Where do you guys get your mags?

Also is it worth the time sorting ammo by case length for a training rifle? I'm not planning on shooting MOA at 100 yards with my Mk II model F.

You can get them directly from Savage:

Or Midway:

I don't bother sorting ammo. Both Wolf MT and Wolf ME do great in my Sav. MkII TR; the ME consistently (not every time, but much of the time, unless I mess up)does 1MOA @ 50 & 100 yards.

Also, I only use th 5 round mag since it came w/the rifle. The 10 round mags cost the same and are thus, more cost effective for me. They also speed up reloads.

I looked for these for quite a while before finally giving in and ordering from Cheaper Than Dirt. Shipping did suck, but I pulled together a larger order of stuff, and the shipping amount stayed the same.
