I'm happy with the redding bushing dies I own, but was looking at the Forster dies. Forster doesn't offer a bushing die for the Lapua. Is the Forster FL sizer and micro seater set a good set or will the extra $100 for the Redding bushing set be money well spent?

I do not know about the Foster dies. I have been using a set of Redding bushing 3 die now for over a year. The one that comes with neck sizer, body die, and micro-seater die. I have found they do quiet well and the seating die has not needed adjustment in over 1000 rounds run through it. I shopped around and found mine on e-bay new for $178 plus shipping. Like I said that was over a year ago.

The Forster set works very well. I used my buddies while I was waiting on my Redding set. I prefer the bushings to play around with for fine tuning the loads via neck tension. You can get in on the Redding group buy right now and the price gap wont be so bad Sorry, I forgot they were category III dies and the price difference is 100 bucks. Just get the bushing FL sizing die and competition seater in a set and add a bushing or two. If you only get one bushing, make it the .289.

The set I'm refering to is number 36479 in the Redding catalog.
