Which Boyd's Thumbhole stock for a 882SSV?

Just purchased a used 882SSV at gunbroker.com. Other than the trigger work/replacement, I plan to update the synthetic stock to a laminate. Really like the thumbhole on my Remington 870, so I'm leaning that way. Micro-fit stocks will work, but require some finishing and cost $100 more after pad and swivels are added (but boy are they gorgeous!). So I'm considering the Varmint Thumbhole from Boyd's. Which of the Marlin rimfire series will fit most closely to the 882SSV? They have the "900 Series", the 917, the 925, and the 980, but no 882. The young lady I talked to had no idea but asked me to take measurements, but didn't seem too clear on what to measure.

Can anyone provide some help on what worked best for them?

A friend of mine is in the same situation and owns a 882SSV with synthetic stock . He has researched quite a bit and has been told on a couple other gun forums that the Boyds stocks for the 917 heavy barrels will work with minor modification . I hope that helps .
