hey guys, I did some searching already, but I wanted some user opinions on which cat tail they would pick. I've narrowed it down to the scope lever by 3gunstuff or the mgm switchview for the Razor.

Specifically looking for comments on whether or not there's enough of an arm for leverage on the one made by 3gunstuff or if the MGM sticks out too far.

    Thanks again.

Re: Which cat tail for Razor??

    I'd opt for the 3gunstuff.

I don't need a huge lever like the MGM, just a small protrusion like the 3gunstuff lever for my finger to push on.

I don't have enough clearance above my base for the MGM while the 3 gun stuff would fit thanks to its lower profile hinged designed.

Thanks, doesn't have to be specific to the razor..I like the design of the 3gunstuff better, but I almost wish the tail portion was a little bit longer for more leverage....

I never tried 3gunstuff - but SwitchView worked very nicely for me. Nice, convenient, fast - and didn't obstruct my view of the Vortex bubble level.

Not sure who makes it, but the Vortex labeled one I got with my PST is actually very nice.

I never saw the need for one, but since I had it, I tossed it on my 6-24 PST and actually love it. Not a necessity really, but damn handy.

Here is a link to ours, both the Razor and PST http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-switchview-throw-lever-razor-hd-riflescope http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-switchview-throw-lever-viper-hs-pst-riflescope

MGM makes these for us. We went with MGM on these for a number of reasons. They are in our opinion the best functioning and highest quality lever we could find. Another reason and in some ways more important is that Mike and Travis Gibsom (MGM-Mike Gibson mfg)are great to deal with and treat everyone they deal with as if they were their only customer. On top of that they support the shooting sports every chance they get. Bottom line is they treat their customers great, they make great products, and are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Also one other thing to consider is that these are the only cat tails we have tested on our scopes. That being said if something were to happen with a different lever our Warranty would still cover it.

I ran a group buy with Travis from MGM and not only did they treat everyone fair they were great to deal with and their products are no doubt the best lever on the market. I have used most but only kept the MGM levers.

Sweet! What camo pattern is that??

Thanks for all the input guys. I almost wish they had a cross breed of both the MGM and the 3gunstuff... I like single screw hinge style and clearance of the 3gunstuff, but I like the longer lever of the MGM for more leverage and use with gloves on. That's not having had either in hand but just from the pictures online...

I might have to buy both and give them a try.
