Suppressors Which holster for a G34

Re: Which holster for a G34

+1 on Comptac.

I use either of two paddle holsters for my Glocks, the Comptac has a better fit and lower profile than many others out there.

I like SERPA holsters but I love this one, the DOH is faster on the draw but has no retention which your gonna need for comps. </div></div>

That is a cheap injection molded holster.

A kydex holster does not have "no" retention. If it's too lose, tighten it.

I may be buying a Safariland soon, 6280 with weapon mounted light, my x300 needs some love, SERPA and the ThumbDrive are both injected molded but the TD is a much better design IMHO, I don't think kydex is better, but it is more exspensive.

You must not use your holster very much if it's not painfully obvious that kydex is better.

It's not about breakage and that's not even remotely close to the same usage.

Kydex provides better retention, a better feel, and a smoother draw.

If your holster breaks, you've got bigger problems than the material.

Re: Which holster for a G34

I am a new member to another forum that specializes in multi-gun competitions, IDPA, USPSA/IPSC, 3-Gun, set-up, strategies, gear the whole nine yards so to speak.

Here is a thread that pertains to your exact interest.

Brian Enos's Forum
Thread Title: What competition holster do you use and why?

It isn't exactly all about the Glock 34, but a lot of people use the G34/35 in competitions and the holsters in that poll reflect possible choices for you.

I have been wanting to get into 3-Gun for awhile so I decided to look around the internet for some good information. I love this forum, but it's main ideology is precision shooting, not all the others combined into a sport.

Best of luck to you JCH.
