Which is Trigger you are using Right Now? Share your Choice...

I have Trigger Tech diamond and Jewell HVR.
I love set pull weight around 4 oz. Hair trigger.
I love Trigger Tech diamond, but not Jewell.
Trigger Tech easy to adjust and less over travel, it will be my choice in the future.

I've got a XTSP Mod.22 on my action.
Two stage
Not 100% sure on weight, but I think it's about 1.5 pounds total
Probably .5 lbs on first stage, 1 lbs on second

I think the entire idea to using triggers that are benchrest/F-class weight for positional, is a slippery slope and in some cases, has become a bit too light. I’ve seen a couple 1/2oz triggers at the matches and a few that are just a couple.. But most my concerns are that people not in those games, where extra safety protocols are used, are thinking they need the ultra low weights too.

Over the last couple of years I have seen more discharges when not exactly on target, than I had probably in the 20 years prior. I think that is a scary trend.

Personally, I run almost all 2 stages in my rifles @ about 2lbs, with my match rifles just over a pound.

Triggers are 7 Huber’s, 2 Timney, 2 Bix and Andy— all 2 stage..

edited to add no more Jewells or lighter fluid to keep them running....

Swapped from a single stage TT to a 2 stage BnA Tacsport and that has been one of the better decisions I've ever made.

My trigger is set to a bit less than a lb. Light first stage, with a slightly heavier 2nd stage. You have much better trigger control with a 2 stage trigger, and IMO you can safely get away with lighter pull weights on a 2 stage then a single stage.

On my one custom, a TT Diamond with the flat shoe. While I REALLY dig the trigger (which I have right at a pound), I desperately wish it were available with a shoe like the Timney 517.

Speaking of the 517, I'll be running that on my other custom when I get around to building it (read: once I get the money to build it).

At first, I use an AI AT rifle, the two stage trigger is good enough for me at that time.
And then I sold my AI to bighorn TL3 with TT diamond Trigger.
I was surprised the light single stage trigger with less over travel.
I cannot swap back to Ai trigger now.

almost all factory triggers except one Geissele ssa and its from the factory so would like to try a lem trigger not totally sure why.

Timney calvin elite 2 stage on most.
Timney 510 on a couple.

I tried a triggertech special. I guess I was expecting magic by all the hype. I guess that left me disappointed because the TT are no better or worse than a Timney. I wouldnt sell a trigger to buy one. Head to the exchange if you want one. Im about to post.

TT's are great triggers, but definitely overhyped online.

You must be my doppelganger.
Most would say heavy 1st stage with light 2nd on the 2-stage, but I really like the opposite as well.
Many times I use the first stage to determine weather or not I'm as stable as I need to be and correct if needed (barricades/positional stuff).

The tac sports have a nice 'wall' between 1st and 2nd stages as well.. won't break the shot unless its deliberate.

The diamond is one of the few triggers I’ve used that will take a pretty good vertical drop on the butt with the safety off.

The diamond I have now is set at about 10oz and the firing pin will not drop unless I use quite a bit of force and basically throw the rifle like a spear into the floor.

Huber, AI factory, AI comp, timney, have all let the firing pin drop before the diamond would.

Not that any of them were enough to be unsafe (the Huber was close), but the diamond held up the longest.

The Jewel HVR was my favorite for a long time but have started switching to the TT Special.
I prefer a 1.5 - 2. Lbs trigger so had no need for the Diamond.
I still have one tuned Rem 700 Walker trigger set right around 2 lbs on a hunting rifle that has served me well.

Bolt: Geissele Super 700

AR: Geissele SSA-E's and an SD-C, and a Larue MBT-2S.

With my experience with Geissele in gas guns, I HAD to have the Super 700. Definitely didn't let me down.

TriggerTech Rem 700 Special, Curved PVD set at 2.8lbs. , old habits die slow; but waiting for the TriggerTech Rem 700 Special Two Stage Curved PVD Trigger to be released in Q2 of this year.
