I have seen that as well... but the H1, H2 etc, are the proprietary Maxim buffers.... the JP silent capture choices are Standard, Heavy and Pistol... it doesn't make it clear

Hmmm. In that case, I'd guess "heavy", but reserve the right to be wrong. A call/email to JP may be your best bet.

Also depends on whether you have an adjustable gas block. No need for a heavy if you can turn down the gas port.

Well I can offer perhaps a LITTLE bit of help. I ran a standard SCS in my 11½" pistol for the brief period that I had it... Surefire brake on the end made the concussion pretty unpleasant so I just went back to 14½". Anyway, was told by JP that since I wasn't running suppressed ever, standard weight should be fine... Pistol did run really well, though I did have an adjustable gas block too which obviously helps.

Bear in mind that the CQB stock is shorter than a standard buffer tube and you will need Maxim's proprietary SCS...

seems as though you have an issue with me... so yes, I did read it.... but did you read this?? seems as though they give you the choice of theirs or JP, but my question stands... they don't specifiy

I purchased a JP Silent Buffer to run in PCC IDPA/USPSA matches. I wasn’t impressed at all and sold it right after. For what it is, I’d rather have a Tubbs flat spring and a H1 buffer.

No issue with you. JP says to use a "heavy" SCS with a short barrel SBR. The JP "heavy" conforms to the H2. Maxim is using JPs nomenclature for their proprietary SCS. Buy the heavy. Don't overcomplicate it. That said, JP also sells individual steel and tungsten weights for their SCS. If the SCS doesn't run in the weight you buy, you can get a couple of the weights directly from JP and mix and match until your gun is running like you like.

I bought a Heavy buffer for my 224 predator, and found that it wouldn't run- not enough gas. I got a couple of the steel weights form JP and retrofitted my heavy SCS into a standard SCS and the gun runs great now.

I got my PDW brace and SCS directly from Maxim. I got the Heavy SCS and it works great with my 11.5" barrel. This is the one that came with it.
