Rifle Scopes Which reticle would you choose EBR-2C or SKMR3

I have 2 of the EBR-2C but would say while they are similiar to the SKMR3, the Kahales reticle is superior due to the .2mil hash marks on the horizontal. While I really like my Vortex scopes I find the .5 mil marks somewhat limiting, especially with ELR. I'd really like to be able to refine my holds more accurately. Probably why they added the .2 hold to the Vortex AMG. I also like the center dot in the SKMR3 more than the open center in the EBR-2C.

Both are similar and will work. Figure if you want a center dot or a small center open and then go to the rest of the features on the scope to make a decision.

I appreciate all the responses, the purpose of my post was to not get into a Vortex vs Kahles slug match. I think there both excellent, and could live with either but the reticle is a hang up for me. I think fursniper has read my mind. I'm needing another scope for a build that I recently finished and had made up my mind to get another Kahles this time with the skmr3. A buddy of mine recently picked up a new razor with the EBR-2C, I'm really impressed with the scope and was trying to talk myself into the razor and save about $500 in doing so.

I'm having trouble trying to convince myself that I'd be ok with the EBR reticle. There are a few things about it that bothers me, one is why didn't vortex put the mil numbers to the outside edge of the reticle on the bottom half rather then right next to the vertical crosshair. It interferes with the holdover dots on the right side. Two I don't like the .5 hash marks on the main horizontal crosshair. Yet at the same time the Christmas tree reticle is in .2 increments on the horizontal grid.

I think for me the skmr3's .2 hash marks on the main horizontal crosshair is superior for wind holds. I normally dial elevation and wind but I'd rather start just holding wind and not dial for it. The flip side is if you hold elevation and wind the reticle switches back to .5 hash marks.

Looks like I should stick with my first choice, I like the LSW also if I do dial. I guess in the end is it really worth the extra coins?

Call us at 916.670.1103 for a quote on a Kahles K624i 6-24x56 SKMR3 LSW, hell we can ship you one out today for the next 4 hours

It looks busy, but I like the Kahles AMR....I am a big fan of .2 mil for holds (elevation and wind). I find I hold on a lot of things even if I have time to dial...if I can be just as precise, a line is a line.

I know...not your original question, but based what you a looking for makes it something to consider.

I've been studying the AMR also. It looks like an option also. I'm driving myself nuts reading and studying the different reticles. On the flip side I'm learning a lot, there is a lot more to a reticle then the center cross hairs, isn't there! Thanks for your input.

After spending some time behind my buddies Razor and getting my OCD under control, I decided to get the Razor instead of another Kahles. A few things that caused me to change my mind was I liked the turrets, a little more space between clicks is easier for me to see for one, plus the locking turrets is a bonus. The glass to my eyes edged out my gen II Kahles, albeit not by much. But it appears a little sharper to me. Even though I don't use illumination very often I really liked the way Vortex incorporated it into the parallax knob. Last but not least, I was given the military discount which made the Razor right at $700 cheaper. No offense to the Kahles guys, I'm one to, but I have a hard time justifying that much extra coin. I'm looking forward to getting it mounted up and dialed in. Thanks Rob for the sound advice!
