I'm looking to attach a scope level to my nightforce scope, to aid in shooting at longer ranges.

I did a quick search here, but couldn't find much.

Can anyone recommend a good brand of level? I don't mind paying extra for quality. It needs to fit the 30mm tube on my nightforce 8-32x56 scope. I'm left handed,

thanks

I agree. I have two Hollands one on nightforce and other on Premier. Both are model that attaches to scope.

Re: which scope level?

Does anyone have a picture of the Accuracy First level? I've never seen one and I'm turning up anything on the web search of even where to find one.

ETA: Nevermind; I think I found them.

Re: which scope level?

I like the accuracy first level, but can anyone tell me if it can be mounted left or right side? Is the bead visible from both sides? I'm left handed, and the Accuracy 1st website didn't say whether it would be suitable for left handed shooters.

I Googled Accuracy First, then picked Accuracy First Products, and they came right up.

Those look really nice. I had seen them on the A 1st site but those pics don't show them as good. They claim to be really accurate also, to plus or minus 1 degree I believe.

Re: which scope level?

I just ordered a Accuracy 1st. from Jeff, if you give him your military credentials , he gives us a discount.(I just sent him an email from my .mil address.)

Looks like a winner to me.

I must say, of all of the variations on this concept, this one seems to be the best design implementation.

Re: which scope level?

The Accuracy 1st S&B photos show the level mounted on the shooter side of the elevation turrets. I wanted to put my level on the objective side of the turrets but did not know if I would have the visual clearance to see the level on the other side of the large PR 5-25 knobs.

I placed the top half of the scope level just forward of my front ring on the Premier Reticle 5-25. While in any position (except support side) I can clearly read the level by opening my left eye. I will do a proper mount later this week with a plumb line. However, just snapping-in in supported prone and sitting slung up, I was able to pick up and correct minor scope cant issues.

Great product and great service. This is good to go.

(forgive the garage and poor iPhone camera skills)

I just got off the phone with Robert Brent the owner or CEO of Accuracy 1st. He said that they will have a new ambi (left or right) bubble level out in a couple of months. Their levels are in the $70-80 range if you are military or LEO. Robert was a super nice guy and talked with me for quite a long time about shooting. I will be ordering a older first version flip out level (cause I am left handed) and will pick up another one when they come out.

The new ones will not look like the flip out they will resemble the later model but you will be able to flip it around and see both sides.

Robert said that the 1st model was a rush order for a SF group who was deploying it was a ambi mount (flip out)with a level bubble not a ceramic dot inside. He also said that I am only like the 3rd left handed shooter to call them for a level.

Bad ass! I never knew that!

Re: which scope level?

The Vortex is cheap and well made. Probably not as well made as the Accuracy First, but no experience with A1. A level isn't exactly a complicated device. Any one of them that is decent construction should serve you well, as long as it's mounted correctly.

I use this one and it's pretty solid.

I doubt anyone noticed but the Flatline Ops level was on the scout recon marines rifle in the Magpul Precision video. I'm not implying that should be a factor in your choice, it's just something I noticed the other day after I had already purchased one for my own rifle. Anyway, here's the screen capture of it.

Re: which scope level?

I use the US Optics version that mounts to the base. Its easy to use on several rifles, it helps level scopes using the feel gauge method as the top is perfectly flat, and you can mount wherever you want. i took advantage of the 10% coupon US Optics sent out with their new website. i am extremely happy.

Re: which scope level?

I've been using the Flatline Ops levels for some time. The ability to adjust them either folded or flat is a huge benefit and they're very easy to see. A bit pricey but nice.

Re: which scope level?

I just got the flatline ops model. I think it is a well designed piece of kit. I really like the fact that you can fold it out of the way (harms way especially). It is a bit pricey, but the buy once cry once motto comes to mind.

I would recommend the flatline ops, folding model.

Re: which scope level?

I have both the Vortex and Holland...prefer the Holland. It looks of better quality, less bulky, bubble is clearer and doesn't shatter on recoil like the Vortex sometimes does.

I really like the looks of the Tubbs level tho, will try one the next time!

This is the one I would choose. I like how it is integrated. That being said, the people with experience probably have a reason for using the ones they do...

Re: which scope level?

+1 for the Holland. Got it for $40 from Midway with the coupon. Built nicely, hangs to the side just enough to see with one eye and just enough to be snag free, no sharp edges either.

I have a couple of these and they work well but I also have a couple of the cheap B Square ones. Maybe not near as tacticool but they do work just as well.
