$6700 for a used LE trade-in upper from a complete rifle that probably cost a department less than $2k when new  I clearly need to go be poor somewhere else.

I don’t use this word lightly…416 game is straight retarded.

Presample depot had then for around 3500 a while back. You could look around and find it cheaper. I just saw those about a month ago. But like LEO trade in GLOCKS they look like they have under 500 rounds of use.
Starting at $3500. They had kits going up to $6500ish IIRC.

Oh, I don't think those uppers are anywhere close to the end of their service life - I was just a bit surprised at the asking price.

If anyone knows of a PD that needs to dispose of their gently-used HK 416 service rifles, let me know and I'll be happy to fill out some Form 5s.

Yeah, I recall that Arms Unlimited was importing MR223 "pistols" (no butt stocks) for something like $8k. I do admire the creativity employed to get around the 922(r) import restrictions.

Everyone who voted to keep the HK is jealous of KAC and KAC owners because they’re Poors.

On that merit alone keep KAC, sell HK.

But since you also feel financial pressure to sell one, that makes you a Poor. So perhaps you should come to grips with your unfortunate, pathetic reality, sell me your KAC, and join your fellows in their squalor.

In your particular case, there is no wrong answer.

I got friends in low places…

Sell both; don't bother replacing them with anything. Instead, stock up on spares for the LMT and deep stacks of ammo and mags.

Considering the contents of my safe, this is easily the most hypocritical advice I have ever provided.
Agree here! Just sold my SPR rifle and replaced it with an 18" SS barrel for my LMT. One platform, easy to store and transport in one case. If you're dying to have two platforms...sell both and get a MARS-H MWS!

Sell both.

Build a lighter and more accurate AR (or 2) and be happy.

Owning anything just because others cant afford it makes playing finger cuffs with 2 dudes seems straight.

Sold the KAC because it did nothing better than the 2 ARs I built with the $.
More accurate. Lighter.
No proprietary parts.

To be clear, I didn’t buy the KAC to “flex on the poors.” I though (and think) they were cool and impressive.

I figured you didnt.

Was bustin on TheHor(ta) about his post of flexing on the poors.
MOA shootin booger eater he is, its easy!!

I got one to see if it was the end all. I can afford quality rifles.
It was not to me, so down the road it goes.

I’m just over here LOLing at all the retards telling him to keep the KAC… yeah because a 2-2.5MOA “Precision” gas gun is a keeper.

No, that’s called a turd and should be flushed. There’s absolutely no reason that a precision AR with a top tier match barrel shouldn’t shoot 3/4moa or better with quality match ammo. $1000 rock river varmint rifles do that, but an absolute top tier $3K+ retail rifle that will get outshot by most commercial grade chrome lined AR’s… LOL

I’m pretty sure the people telling him to keep it know just like I do that 2.5 moa isn’t the norm for that rifle. My lpr mod 2 is a 3/4-1 moa rifle with the few factory loads I’ve tried.

With the LPR's being discontinued, KAC not filling any civilian-side orders, and the 5 millionth political push to "ban" all types of firearms, I'd hold onto all of them for now. That LPR is likely to be worth billions upon billions in the not-too-distant future. If you have to absolutely sell one now, I'd ditch the HK.

Sell both for huge profit now. Build an 18” Bartlein with the profits if you need a small frame gas precision rifle.

Stop spreading rumors you don’t understand. KAC is filling civilian orders every day. They haven’t taken new orders for firearms, suppressors, and certain small parts for over a year, that is true…while they work on their dealer backorders and contract fulfillment priorities.
