I've been shooting in PRS occasionally over the last few years, but I want to become a more serious competitor.
Which of the above 3 stocks would you recommend? I've used the AX, and T5A, both were comfortable, the KMW Sentinel seems nice, but I've never used one. I want a stock that is "future proof". Which would be easiest to use with a tripod? Does it matter? I've only used a tripod during a stage where one was supplied for us at a match.

I have owned a KMW, and currently run a Manners T6-A.

The KMW is an absolute gem to get behind for ME. Some of my buddies love it, others don't. I would get behind a KMW for a bit to try and see if you really want to own it. The only thing I didn't like about the KMW is that it is HEAVY. Granted, I was running an MTU barrel in mine. But still, the stock itself is pretty meaty, definitely super solid. So if you are looking to shave weight off your stick, the KMW may not be the best choice. But dang, it is an awesome, awesome stock. I really loved mine.

On the other hand, I currently use the T6-A from manners. It is much lighter, and for me, much more maneuverable. If you plan on doing PRS style shooting, a stock like this would PROBABLY be more what you are looking for.

Or, just go straight to the finish line and get an MPA chassis. I had one for a while too, its a great chassis system that balances well, and isn't too heavy.

Either shoot the same off a tripod in my experience.

Just my $0.02.

Appreciate the insight. I actually used an MPA for about 8 hours during a match and hated it. It was very uncomfortable, I didn't like anything about it's design.

How did you like the grip angle and reach to the trigger on the KMW? I have smaller hands; I've been using an M40 style stock for a few years, and much prefer the shorter trigger reach from the grip on the T5A and AX. Is there anything that you didn't like about the KMW aside from the weight? I don't mind a heavy stock.

I've alway ran Manners T6'a or TF1A's and love the thinner forend. I also have had several A5 Mcmillans. I've owned one KMW and love it except for the palm swell and smaller grip but that sounds what you are looking for. I love the KMW so much I over look that and have one inbound this week actually. It's a well though out design.

Terry Cross is so great to talk to and deal with. Tom Manners has the best CS in the business as well as McMillan has alway done me right. Try to get behind a KMW and if you don't like it I would stick with a Manners or McMillan.

Awesome, thank you. How do you like the forend on the KMW for shooting off barricades? I usually put a bag under the stock anyway, but how do you like it in that application? Is the area in front of the magwell useful to push into obstacles?

Its great, as that was its intended purpose if not mistaken. If you want to lighten your stock call/email and let Terry know you want the lightest fill possible instead of somehting like the sniper fill.

I got the KMW off of this site used, and bolted my Surgeon into it. So far I have been pretty happy with it. Then again, I am not too picky.

The fact that the magazine is protected really helps in match conditions and the bottom metal is excellent. The cheek piece hardware is also great.

Right now I have a Trigger Tech trigger in mine. It sits a little further back than I'd like, but doesn't really seem to affect anything. I've also had a CG Trigger in it, which is excellent because you can slide the trigger shoe back and forth.
