Sidearms & Scatterguns Which style CZ75 do you like and why?

My first centerfire handgun that I purchased was the EAA Witness in .40SW. This was when .40 was just getting out in the wild (early 90's).
I started buying revolvers and a few different self-loaders, including a 1911.
My everyday work gun is a PO-9, my most carried off duty is a CZ 83 that I inherited from my Dad, as well as his PO-7.
Glocks feel like shit in my hand, I literally despise the way they feel.
CZ's fit like a glove, even the P10, which, for a striker fired pistol, is damn nice.

Just arrived today...

Studied the catalog but couldn't get comfortable with all the various models so bought the Czechmate.

So, going big or go for broke I also have a 75 TS Orange coming as a backup. Considering but not final a Sig P226 Legion SAO as double secret backup for the Orange. Love those straight/flat triggers.

Just got back from the range for first range action. Leaving it in the minor configuration for breakin and to develop a minor load. Then I'll install the other barrel, comp, Cmore, etc. and go with Major loads.

The slide to frame fit is very tight like my custom 1911s and < 2lb trigger. The thumb rest if used calls for a different grip method that I need to experiment with.

The mag loader included is just a tad too short and slow to use. Fortunately already have a UpLula which works great.

I can tell already this thing will be going through allot of ammo.

Can you shoot any factory ammo with this pistol? I was debating between this and the TSO, but I don't like to way the front of the TSO looks and I don't want to reload. I am just a casual shooter and like shooting at targets .

I was shooting very light handloads today in the minor version so factory would work.

On the Open version I know some change the spring and shoot below major power. The comp may not work though with light ammo.

I am seriously hooked on CZs. For awhile it was a new one every couple of months. I’m trying to tame the addiction - but keep finding stuff that follows me home!

I hear ya...

I tried to order a STI DVC Open 9mm but found out from a factory rep production was halted and no DVCs will be produced in 2020. Don't know if they're coming back.

So I was lookin around Open Class and came across the Cz line and just like that I be doin Seska Zebroka Minor/Major...

I shot my first CZ last week, an SP-01 Tactical that I bought dad for Christmas last year. Figuring out exactly where the trigger breaks is difficult, but I guess it makes one focus on the trigger pull a lot more.

Anyway, I shot that thing as well as any higher end 1911 that I own. I left the range my dad goes to quite amazed by a 600 dollar pistol.

I foresee a Shadow 2 in my near future.
