Wanted to share an experience with whidden composite stocks in case there is anyone out there looking at manners or mcmillan stocks. These things in fit and finish rival both of my manners stocks. The bedding block is great, and doesn't bind the action, and the integrated bottom metal is, I'm sorry to say, I think nicer than the manners minichassis. The magazine release is push button, and the chassis is extremely heavily built. The finish is crazy tough. I'm not sure what kind of coating they use, but it has a lot of grip to it, and is incredibly durable. The spacer system and monopod integrated in are nice too. The monopod is very sturdy, and has produced good accuracy without stringing like I experienced with two different accushot monopods. The adjustable cheek rest system he uses is very sturdy as well. It doesn' t slip in any way, and has proven to be as solid at the kmw hardware in my manners. I wish it had some kind of mechanism similar to the Loggerhead hardware with respect to the knob, but other than that, it's awesome. The rifle is a remington 5r 300 win mag that has been threaded for a brake and had the bolt handle turned for a custom knob. Nothing special, but the groups out of this stock have been phenomenal. The rifle came in a bell and carlson m40 stock, and it shot well, but the groups cut down over half in size when dropped into this thing. The group pictured below is a five shot group from 100 yards, and the rifle is holding a solid sub half moa with hornady match 195 grain bthp factory ammo. Pretty awesome. Please hit me with any questions or specifics you would like to know. I am really enjoying this thing so far, and think it is easily on par with the manners, and like I said before, the bottom metal with whidden's integrated bedding block surpasses the performance and contact of the manners. As most of you have probably read, the manners can tend to bind a little bit with the uneven torque and no support under the tanq. This is not the case with this thing. Solid front to rear. Thanks for looking, and looking forward to the comments.

My manners run good too, but it seems that there just isnt any support under the tang of the rifle. It is a floating tang design, so some amount of pressure is being exerted on the action. Fwiw, the whidden bedding block seems to give better contact all the way to the rear of the action.

Rcampbell, u wont be sorry. It really is a nice stock. U can get it with every option he offers including the monopod and spacer system and adjustable cheek and it runs about the same as a standard manners minichassis stock
