White people blind side Michael Oher.

"Control of all his contracts."

So they controlled all his NFL contracts? Took a bunch of his millions? I bet he gets made fun for being dumb ass like in the movie. Even though as an NFL lineman I bet he is fairly intelligent. But if I lined up with him. I bet I could guess some stuff I could use razz and possibly irritate.

Your right those Crackers ruined this kid for sure…how dare they!
Heck that Christian school he attended most likely cost at least $15K-$20K per year back then.

“At 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, Oher fancied himself as the next Michael Jordan or Charles Barkley. He had to be talked into focusing on football. He thinks hatching the scheme to be a pro athlete at age 7 was a sign of brilliance and vision. It’s a ghetto dream that 99% of the time leads to failure. Where would Oher be today had he stopped growing at 5'9" like most American men?

Where would he be without the Tuohys? They provided the stable home where a tutor could come work with him every day so he could catch up academically. By his own admission in “I Beat the Odds,” Oher never attended school regularly until he enrolled at Briarcrest Christian School as a sophomore.

16 million, 34 million. These Supa stars piss it away with no problem.
Just watched the Johnny Manziel documentary and he said he decided to blow thru 5 million in two years on one long extended party then he would commit suicide.

So after blowing thru the 5 million he goes back home puts the gun to his head and pulls the trigger.
it clicks but didn’t fire. So he decided to stay alive but now most of the money is gone.

These guys are usually not good managing money.

I could be out raking in the millions myself if all yous guys would quit posting shit here on the hide…..no time to reach my full potential as all I do is sit around and read this shit. Yous guys keeping me down yo!
We’re gonna need a class action lawsuit for this one…

So their family lawyer made sure that he got a good deal with his NFL contracts. He got 20% of the movie royalties. He was fed, clothed, houses, tutored and medical expenses covered. He was enabled to get into a very good college. He was given the opportunity for a good collegiate education. He made more money in 8 years than his entire childhood community will make in a lifetime and the white people fucked him?
From what I heard. They did not profit anything from his NFL contracts.
Sounds like the lawyer that he went to in order to end the conservatorship put some real stupidity in his head. Probably looking for a payday for himself.

Can you imagine getting handed millions at twenty, after being handed every party favor you can imagine through college.

Neither the kids nor families are just not prepared for what comes at them. I am close to the dad of a retired NFL lineman every bit as good as Oher. And another dad whose son was a starter QB on a state winning football team. The temptations that are placed in these young mens' path are just unbelievable. The day the son was named as a QB, the girls came out of the woodwork sending him pics, stalking, and hitting on him EVERYWHERE he went. The lineman ran into so many challenges - scammers are everywhere and "good friends" are subverted.

Your correct. Watching that show and remembering back when I was 20 & all the stupid stuff I did I might have ended up in the exact same spot especially if I had millions in the bank.

I call bullshit on Manziel’s story about the gun going click when he tried to off himself. Odds of that happening are extremely low, especially since he is obviously not the type that reloads or buys reman ammo… guys like to talk a big game, but never have the balls to really pull the trigger.

Bet it is just a story he tells just to gain sympathy.
