Stop using fmj's and shitty heads. Get some heavy 2 blade single bevel heads made out of real steel, make them razors and then cut the pigs spines in half. They go nowhere. Resharpen, repeat. I was blown away at the difference in penetration and damage when I made the switch. Just got back from bama and every hog or deer I stuck died in sight. Four deer, two hogs. On one (84 lbs) the spine was completely cut in half, got one lung and then blew out a rib on the way out. Arrow didn't fully exit because there wasn't room but it was stuck in the dirt too. Ive only had the DPP on my pistol for a couple weeks and haven't shot it enough to really give an educated opinion on durability yet. It has held zero for the couple hundred rounds I have through it and the nice clear window is ample sized for dot recognition, even with a quick fairly shitty presentation. My main bitch so far would have to be the single button for dot adjustment. Cycling through kinda sucks. I have heard they eat batteries, but haven't had it long enough to know how bad.

My bow is dialed in really nice with vpa 3 blades and the fmj’s. Might try the 2 blades but Im not too concerned on how the hogs die, just that they do. So bow or gun doesn’t matter much to me. I have a Glock 20 coming in tomorrow and ordered a DPP. Really just needed an excuse to buy a new gun I think . Should be fun!

That is why the only MRD worth buying for a pistol is a RMR, preferably a type 2. ACRO too but its not really a MRD per say.

Everything else is airsoft toys.

I run Vortex Razor, Delta Point Pro, Steiner MRS, various RMRs and the only ones that have gone down are the RMRs. In fact I am slowly replacing all my RMRs with better sights. Dual illumination RMR had the tritium go down after a year, and RM04 had the electronics board replaced 3 months after I bought it. Both factory repaired under warranty but 2 of 4 is too many.

Mailed my G20 slide to jagerwerks today for a DPP cut. Hopefully late march I'll get my TBAC ultra 7, G20 slide back, and my DPP in..... All in time for Turkey season when I can't use them except for riding around looking for hogs!
