Who do you use for your firearms insurance and how much per $100 is it? I am shopping around to make sure that im fully covered, but not overpaying.

Your home owners inurance should cover your guns if they are stolen from your house. Give them the model, serial number and they should give you a check to replace it. Thats what a friends home owners did for him. Might want to call and contact them before you start throwing money away on items already covered.
I dont have individual insurance on my guns, however I pay $1/$100 anually to individually insure some other items through my insurance company. Anything over $10k they typically require an appraisal.

I called my insurance agent to ask if I could buy insurance for my firearms and he said not needed its covered in your homeowners insurance. I am sure he would have sold me something if he could have.

I would double check that as it may cover firearms, but only up to 5 or 10 thousand. Additional coverage would be higher premium/seperate policy.
I did talk to my agent today and my homeowners only went to 2.5k for theft so I was able to do another policy for 1.5/$100 for the remaining items. I was mainly worried about theft so I wanted to be covered.
As other's stated homeowners only covers up to certain amount mine is 7k. I have my gun riders policy through USAA, for anything above and beyond home owners allowance
