More a "semi-custom", a Rem 700 VLS with the barrel cut down to 19" in a B&C M40 stock with some texture added and sprayed in Krylon. Just for kicks, really!
Here is my "hunting" .243 built by Karl Feldkamp @ Kampfeld Customs. Action is a Borden Alpine, McMillan Classic Edge, fluted Lilja #3 1-9" finished at 23", Shilen trigger, PTG Oberndorf bottom metal. I pretty happy with it

This rifle is not typical SH fare, but I thought it was worth mentioning. It's a late 60's Sako Forester, with a bit of tweaking done to it. It has taken many whitetail, coyote, and a few whistle pigs. It has digested a variety of ammo between 80 and 100 grains, and I currently feed it Black Hills Gold 95gr SSTs. It is light weight and is often selected right away from the rack when someone needs to borrow a rifle. This is especially true of women. 243 Win is a wonderful round and I'm surprised I haven't had a match rifle built around this cartridge, yet.
Moses, the barrel is 26" long. My next 6mm will be 24" which I think is the perfect length, because you can still easily push a 105 3050-3100fps at 24". Here is another view with/without the can...
