Who is using a magnetic bipod?

Going on an elk trip. Looking to by a carbon fiber bipod that is magnetic. I purchased a Seekins Havok PH2 in 300 prc. I am looking for something that is fast and lightweight.

What are your recommendations.

Don't use a bipod. In my experience, a tripod fits actual killing much better. A bipod is nice when it's flat with no brush, or you are on a ridge to go prone, but where i hunt that is rarely works out. I believe a small carbon fiber tripod in the side pocket of my pack is more versatile. If it's a quick shot, first position is off of the pack. If I have 30 seconds, set up the tripod. Use with arca or bag on top and don't get a shitty tripod.

I carry shooting sticks, they are useful way more often, but there is no way I would leave my bipod at home.

Its magnetic, works well for what its designed for. If you want lightweight and magnetic, this is the ticket. If you are shooting groups off the bench... there are much better options.

I looked a Javelin and Spartan bipods. I will be carrying a tripod with ARCA rail for my spotter. I have a Minox spotter and a critical defense tripod. So my tripod is good to go. I am looking to see if any one has real world experience with these.

I have aJavelin system that I would sell. Its magnetic with carbon fiber. With short and long legs.

Spartan precision javelin magnetic bipod. I have been watching the Brain Call ( Gritty ) bear hunting videos. The second guy on most of these or all of the bear hunts is Ryan Lampers, Ryan was using a Spartan bipod during the last video I watched. The video did not provide detail on the bipod but I am interested and that is the limit of my knowledge. Black Bear Hunt in a Wallow EP4 was the video.

Might be the best thing ever , but. If you buy the magnetic setup it's such a one off , you are stuck with it for life!

Had one with the extra long legs. Good idea but takes too long to swap the legs out and there’s not much adjustment. Also too low for seated shots. Bought the hatch outwest bipod and am much happier. Worth the extra weight.

That is an awesome hunting video series. Just watched all four parts. Not usually into hunting vids, but that was super interesting…felt like I was there hiking with those guys! Thx for posting.
