WHat projects you got going?

Mine:

1. 22RF Lilja bbl CZ457 action (coming 7/29) going in MPA chassis (coming today) with a Leup 45x Compewtition scope (in hand)

2. 224 Valkyrie from Southern Precision Rifles (Sept 2019) going in XLR chassis (in hand) and a Athlon Ares ETR scope (in hand)

3. Sig P226 frame getting Cerakoted a medium gray.

What are you going crazy waiting for?

I’m waiting for my buddy’s daughter to come of age.

Lock after my post...
Seems like everyone is waiting on actions for builds.

This makes me curious who all is ordering barrel and action separately, and doing their own headspacing for their build. I've done tons of AR's etc, but I leave bolt gun builds to the experts. A man should know his limitations. That's one of mine.

My Bighorn action and barrel are sitting at SPR, while I wait my turn in line.

I’ve bought four chambered barrels from SPR and headspaced them myself on Remington and Bighorn actions and that’s within the last year. You won’t won’t be disappointed Greg is a great guy to deal with and his barrels are hammers. I had to order my last barrel from him a gain twist left twist 6mm Bartlein but unfortunately he couldn’t chamber it in 6 BRX so Ryan Hunt at Hunt long Range is currently finishing it up.

I'm waiting for the new Terminus actions to come out on Aug 1...
I'm waiting for my next 338 Edge barrel...32" of pure recoiling enjoyment.
I'm waiting to see if i have the resolve and fortitude to not buy another Trijicon 5-50x scope...damn I like that scope.

You should consider using Facebook

Funny you mention that. I deleted my FB acct permanently. Too many antisocial jerks. Though obviously such people infect every Internet site.

Personally, I think the comeraderie btwn gun owners should be strong, as there's already enuf ppl out there that hate us for our interest / enjoyment of firearms, and defense of 2A. We have a very significant thing in common. To be ugly, insulting and rude toward each other is non-sensical. Its counter productive.

I *never* go into any thread and tell someone their post is "dumb," or doesn't "add value" to the forum (a HIGHLY subjective assessment) Even if I think it, I act like an adult and just ignore it. My opinion in such matters just really isn't that important. Oddly, SOME ppl here think their opinion MUST be loudly stated any time they dislike something. Its rather childish. Such ppl need to.... "Lighten up, Frances."

If my participation here is really THAT problematic and unpalatable for anyone, the "Ignore" button exists to ease their pain.

In the meanwhile, I'll focus on the numerous ppl here who "get" the intent of my post, and want to pursue a friendly discussion of their on-going projects. It was Padom's detailed description of his 224V bolt project that educated me about that caliber variant, and I subsequently ordered one from Bugholes. He has furher helped me with its design and setup.

I found that to be significantly "value added" content.

Yea, in my current 457 project, I'm finding that CZ model is highly under- developed. MPA was one of the few chassis avaiable, when what I really wanted was a Manners.... a mor traditional look. I like the VPT stock (far better than the MTR) but no one would sell me one separately.

I pointedly asked for specifics on ppls on-going projects. My intent was to gauge current, cutting edge projects and see what's new and up-coming. Its actually YOUR participation in this thread that is non-specific and has no recognizable point. You've made no contribution whatsoever to what I actually requested. You simply trolled me. Very FB like. Major part of why I dumped it.

Maybe YOU should go use FB. :) It suits your participation, here. I'll leave you to that pursuit.

So if we keep trolling you here, will you delete your account here too?!?!? Please say yes.....:ROFLMAO::LOL:

Actually, its helpful to me personally, on a profesional level. Its complicated, but it actually does.

Unfortunately, OTHER ppl gotta wade thru your troll posts. :)

If ever this place reaches the uselessness than FB exhibits... then yes, I will leave. Presently, I find many individuals to engage with respectably and helpfully, that makes the dozen or so of you a tolerable annoyance.

Hey...you asked. :)

What exactly is wrong with wanting to know ppls current projects, all in one thread, that I might learn about cutting edge tech and rifle / caliber development?

Please be as specific as possible... something greater than you don't like me personally. Cuz that's the only real objection I see.

BTW.... once the above listed projects come thru, I'll provide specific, first hand pointed info about all the various components. The Lilja bbld CZ 457 in MPA chassis with Leup 45x Cometition scope will be first. Stay tuned...

I think it boils down to this.... This is SNIPERS hide not share your feelings hide.

Wanting to know about ppls present on-going projects and cutting edge rifle /caliber tech is feelings related?

I think we DEFINITELY got a different defintion of feelings.

As noted above, its how I learned about 224 Valkyrie in a bolt gun. And several ppl here have no problem with my discussion. Maybe it boils down to some ppls problem is THEM. Its always the SAME ppl who come and urinate in my posts.

Some Thoughts for Your Consideration:

Post Bear Pit type topics and get Bear pit responses...

The fact you believe the problem is consistently "them" not "you" surely couldn't be a sign...

So continue to blame as many people as you want...

It's the snow flake thing to do after all...

Maybe someday you will come to the revelation "reap what you sow" holds true...

It really is you that doesn't comprehend...

I'm not hopeful...

Nice I don’t know if you shoot PRS but does that qualify for production class
I don't shoot PRS, maybe in the long future ..... so not sure about 6.5 PRC for production class.
I can tell you it cost a hair under $3k, and I think one of the classes needs the rifle under $2k.
its on a Comp chassis, I see the production Comp's on MPA site = under $2k, but those aren't PRC.
my extra costs not due to better Trigger or barrel, just for the folding stock, the S/L Barrel., nut set up.
My stock is adjustable too, but not with the Production Comps= nonadjustable

This is the Bolt-Action Forum, not the Bear Pit. Maybe you could start there .....
