The extractor is my problem. Several of my friends shoot Bergara premiums as well, and while they seem to be very high-quality actions, the extractors do appear to be the weak link. I believe they could be a viable company for precision shooting if they offered more aftermarket support for their own products and would sell a barrel and a real match contour.
I know that Ed Shilen helped them build their barrel factory, but I have no idea on the action itself. Their barrels aren't bad, but I have had some problems with the general selection (you only have a few options and they don't really offer anything heavy enough for match shooting). I wrote a pretty lengthy piece a while back about the barrels, and it all came down to marginal customer service. Do you know what they patterned the action after as that might be a way to find parts?

Bergara is the actual manufacturer of their proprietary Premier actions and if you need a bolt repair kit I am positive they will be more than happy to sell you an extractor and spring. You could have given them a call directly and asked, they are very helpful and have all kinds of parts that would be too much to list on their web site, after all their primary business is selling rifles and barrels. Just because it isn't listed in their online shop doesn't mean they won't sell it to you so you can keep your rifle functional. I've personally bought extractors, and bolts from Bergara. The similarities to Shilen parts don't surprise me however because it was Ed Shilen who consulted Bergara and got them started in barrel and rifle production.
Thank you for the information. I spoke with their customer service department, and they said they were not selling parts at the time. It is good to know that they have sold parts in the past as it probably just means I need to speak with a different person. I will give it another shot and see how it works out.
Probably would void that part of the warranty, after all would you want to be held responsible for something that you did not manufacture? If anything you can always give them a call and ask if that would be the case before you do anything. If you decide to have it modified I'd give LongRifles Inc. (LRI) in Sturgis, SD a call they might be able to help you out.
I have a premier ridgeback in 6.5 prc and I broke the extractor . Called up Bergara ,they simply asked what caliber and said " We will ship the complete kit ASAP for free" that was last week 5/14/20

Ok, would I need to send the entire rifle in to have an M16 extractor installed, or would you just need the bolt? I would expect the whole rifle, but thats why I'm asking. Thanks!
Why would you want to ditch a Bergara for loose stock screws and/or loose scope base/ rail? as I stated anwering that post you referred us to ,that is basically an assemblers/ owners realm cured with torque and thread lock,( normal maintenance) A ”terrible” scope rail base is an opinion , based on on what? It holds the scope securely ,mine does anyway , as for the cheek rest ,I can’t say ,I made mine- it’s glued on ,I saw the bolt on type and I do avoid them but yours is unfamiliar to me so I can’t say anything .the gentleman spent money on a rifle he may enjoy otherwise,to suggest he “ditch” it for minor things is ridiculous , no , an extractor is not minor , really ,nor should it break before a few years of service but give them a chance to make good before dragging them in the dirt because it’s not what YOU spent money on.
If you're purchasing a firearm and not checking torque on all your fasteners and cleaning and lubing it before you go out shooting you're failing already.
