I just been itching to get one of these for the longest time.

I think Savage does but I've been hoping to get something a little higher on the quality rifle chain such as a CZ.

What are the going prices on Sako in a 17hm2 out of the box now a days?

Re: Who still makes 17HM2 rifles

If I were you, I would call in to Whittaker Guns (From KY) and see if they still have any CZ 452 Americans in .17HM2. CZ did two special runs for them because they found a pile of barrels in the warehouse. (***This is what I was told***) Now, this was a while back so I am assuming there are all out at this point, but you never know until you try.

I would try and hope for the best!

I love my CZ 452 American .17HM2, it is a blast to shoot and is my absolute go to small game rifle. That little sucker has taken tree squirrels out past 120 yards!

If you already have a CZ 455 Varmint, get the Lilja HM2 bull barrel.
If you have the CZ 455 American, get the Lilja Varmint Taper 17 HM2.
The 17 HM2 fits the same CZ 455 mag as the 22lr...I dig the drop in barrels.

Lilja 17 HM2, not just accurate, think...precise.

A few years ago I tried to get my bro to sell me his sako finnfire to convert to hm2 with lilja barrel. That was a no-go, so i got a pac-nor blank and converted my kimber 82c

If I was doing the ultimate 17hm2 today I think I would get the CZ 455 precision trainer and the lilja drop-in bull barrel. I agree they are "precise"
