I'm looking to switch some optics around for 2020 and the Burris XTR3 is appealing. My history of owning Alpha optics extends itself quite a ways, but I don't keep anything (which i should). As I shop for the next optic to use for comps, I have a pretty short list which includes -- ZCO, NF735, and Kahles. All three of these offer reticle options that I like, and all are clearly well above the price tag compared to the XTR3. The part that is tugging my mind is the fact that optics have come a long ways and the law of diminishing returns is more of a reality than ever. Not saying the Burris at its price point is cheap by any means, but it's significant compared to the others.
So, who has put this optic through its paces. I'd like to hear from those who have spent a decent amount of time behind this scope and can confirm tracking reliability and how well the optic resolves images up to and past 1000 yards. I've filtered through the extensive XtR3 Review thread a couple times, but since the optic is in more poeple's hands, it be nice to have some solid reviews in a smaller thread. Thanks for your help.
