So I went shooting today for the first time in a few months (it was a brutal few months) and I don't know if it was because I haven't shot in so long, I was tired after just finishing a 6 hour drive or because I was having to babysit two new shooters but I just had a hard time connecting with my EAA Witness 40 S&W, CZ P-01 9mm or Beretta px4 40 S&W.
With my MKIII I was able to hammer my new evil Roy target at 25 yards no problem. Why do I struggle so much with centerfire pistol? I'm not a new shooter. Been shooting since I was 5 or 6. Not recoil shy. Very focused on my trigger squeeze.
Maybe it's the DA/SA trigger? I shoot my Glock 26 better than any centerfire handgun I own. I had a Glock 23 before that and was decent with it at 20 yards on steel. Today I struggled to get any of my DA/SA guns on steel within 10-12 yards. What gives?
I've never been a strong pistol shooter. In fact I would never shoot one again given a choice but I think 3-gun in sweet so I have to learn. Why do I suck? Would a class help?
