well first off i would like to say hello to everyone on this forum. I have been reading these froums for all my curiosities, questions about tactical gear, and the latest and greatest of custom large caliber rifles. This is my first post on here so please bare with me. ...Ok my question simple but i cant find the answer here in small town nowhereville. lol We have alot of leupold hunting scopes in our gun shops around here but to mention Nightforce, USO, SM@B, or any other high-end scope brand and they look at you like you are crazy. leupold has a very wide sight picture or view when you look through them. there isnt any black ring to contend with. does anyone( nightforce, usoptics, ,ect.)have that same wide angle or no black ring sight picture in their scopes? like i said i dont have acsess to any high end scopes and i have a 5.56 colt hbar in need of a top quality optic .

Re: wide angle view ? who has them

Wide angle view is something that Redfield put out allot of years ago. The end of the scope was squred and the view had the shape of an old tv screen when you looked through it. It had a bit more visability off to the sides than it did up and down.

All of the High end scopes look the same as the leupold with a bit more clarity. They all have the blackness off to the edges if you dont have the eye relief right. Cheaper scopes have allot more "that black ring" and less of a sweet spot.
