Wildfires

Gotta love my job. I got deployed to the Midwest and I'm currently in Utah with 100+ other firefighters out here to try and help control some of the fires. Should be a good time and we are all eager to get on the line and see the country.

They have us staying here for the night until we get more orders tomorrow.

I was in Moab last week 4wheeling. The smoke from one of those fires was coming into the area. I think it was the fire S.W. of there in a state forest. Be safe man and good luck!

FWIW, the Cariboo region in B.C. (100 Mile House, 108 Mile House, Williams Lake, etc) has a 1,200 hectare fire going on right now. There are a total of 183 blazes being fought throughout the province, and the dry weather with the recent Lightning has only exacerbated the situation.

State of Emergency has been called. I just found out this morning that my own Father's area has been evacuated.... and so far we're praying that he both got out, and is safe.

It's been a day, believe me.
