Curious if GAP will take my Rem 700, stock, barrel and metal and complete
The build?
Buddy of mine suggests I go this route since I have everything but the lug, but
I wasn't sure they use items that have been in the field already.

Thanks

Re: Will GAP build from my parts?

They did mine with my parts, but that was some years back.
Many, many, other good builders out there, don't get tunnel vision.

I am sure they would if they approve of what you're sending them for the build up front.

But like the quote above reads, many others good builders will build off of your parts. I sent all of my parts out to my builder after double checking his opinion on the parts I was supplying. But think a head, if you send something that doesn't measure up or isn't in spec and needs changing/replacing. I sent out an older "B" series receiver I bought used and didn't get a chance to look the bolt over very well. One quick email from Mike advising of its condition and I gave him the knod to order up what ever he felt was suitable (single pc PTG) and now it's game on, back on track.

So be prepared for the unknowns when re-using used parts.
