Will the MagPul Stock UBR 7-Position Collapsible Assembly AR-15 Synthetic fit ?

I assume it is actually the mil-spec extension tube that matters ?




I did not see anywhere in the listing about the stock fitting mil-spec or commercial extension tubes.

You have milspec and commercial tubes. One is bigger than the other; I think the commercial is bigger. Buy a commercial stock for a commercial buffer tube, and a mil spec for a mil spec.

The UBR uses a rifle length (A1) buffer tube not an adjustable

The UBR comes with it's own buffer tube, but does not come with a buffer. It will fit your lower just fine.

Be forewarned - If you go with the UBR it will add about 1 lb to your build (that's in addition to what it would weigh with a more traditional carbine stock like the Vltor IMOD, SOPMOD, Magpul MOE, etc.)

It's honestly my favorite stock out there, but I'll probably never buy one again because of the weight. On an AR-10 platform, I might consider it...maybe.

It is a heavy pig, but the weight also helps balance out the rifle. I'm in the process of assembling a new rifle with a UBR; I'm curious to see how I end up liking it. I went back and forth between the UBR and a SOPMOD, but I felt like the UBR offered more for the money than the SOPMOD.

I have a UBR on my 16" Bushmaster Modular AR. I also run a Trijicon 5-20x50 scope. These are heavy additions but they add a lot of stability, and I really like the looks and cheek weld I get from the UBR. As for the weight, it doesn't bother me.

+1 on it being heavy. I had one, loved it, but Much happier with the CTR. It is slightly longer collapsed.
