Wind call formula

I have read any number of wind call posts on the Hide and there seems to be various opinions as to what is the best wind call formula. Is there one formula that comes close to being the most accurate?

Neither one. I don't have a particular formula available but something like range x angle x .1 x wind/gun mph. This formula is from memory and could be totally in error.

((Windspeed x wind value expressed as a percentage)/gun number) x range as a decimal

(10 mph x 80% value)/5 mph gun = about 1.5

1.5 x .6 for 600yd = .9 mils of wind

Consider also making a wind card using a ballistics calculator and referencing it. (ranges going down, mph full value going across, corrections are in that matrix).

You can do what works best for you ref winds speeds on that, I like 1, 5 and 10 for reference.
