Member Link Up Winston Salem, High Point, or Greensboro NC?

Hello,

My dad and i will be moving to Winston Salem after January 1st, 2010, and was hoping i could link up with someone who could mentor me in shooting(High power and/or small bore), and if there are any Long range shooting ranges/Clubs in the area.
I am currently in an Navy JROTC smallbore shooting team, and at my new High school i am hoping to join the Army JROTC shooting team, but am also looking for smallbore competitions outside of that, so if you know of any, please let me know.

Any input would be greatly appreciated,

I'm a bit south of you in Charlotte. I can't really help you but if you ever venture down to Charlotte feel free to look me up. I'm no expert marksman by any means, but I'd be happy to help.

I'm new to NC myself but I hear there's a 1000 yard range in either Greensboro or Winston Salem. I believe it's some type of military or police range that allow civilians. If so, I'm confident you'll find some folks there that can mentor you. Most of the folks I've met at ranges seem to be pretty open to new folks trying to learn.
