Wiser Precision + Magnetospeed bag

I honestly never thought about a soft case for mine. It’s durable enough that I can just strap it to my ruck and sometimes stow the bayo in a pocket if I’m worried about it. The mounting hardware is a bit of a pain though when the unit isn’t mounted. I’ve had the latches get messed up and spun around while transporting. The easy remedy for this is to use a piece of plastic pic rail to lock into the mount while not in use.

I realize this doesn’t answer your question, but…

PS I removed the display mount after a while. It made accessing the SD card problematic too many times for me. Also, when I used it with short barreled magnums, the blast from the brake hosed the cable connection port, making the display unit unserviceable and needing to be replaced.

That’s very helpful insight, I’ll avoid using the display mount. Between what you mentioned and the ongoing Magnetospeed thread, it seems like a good idea to be more careful around the display unit.

I've replaced the display unit twice since using the Wiser integral mount, in both cases free of charge because it was still under warranty thankfully. The issue seemed to stem from the input jack getting sufficiently jostled to cause a loose connection that pretty much made the unit useless. After removing the display unit from the integral mount I never had another problem with the connection. It honestly wouldn't be a problem if there's a reasonable distance from the muzzle to the display unit, but when it's a bullpup with an 18" .338LM barrel, no matter where you place the rod, the integral display mount will put that cable jack right in the backblast area.
