16" & mid length gas, that I've decided on.

Main reason for choosing those two is simply because they're in stock (and in budget..)

I want the more accurate (with factory match ammo) of the two I think. I suppose that's what it comes down too at this point.

I shoot 69 - 77 gr mainly, with some cheap 55gr stuff on the side.

I am thinking they'd be pretty close in accuracy when a load is worked up for both. I don't know how they would compare with factory ammo, hard to know until you experiment with them in the real world. The main difference is 1:7 for the WOA and 1:8 for the BCM. The WOA has a Wylde chamber, the BCM has a 5.56 match chamber (USMC SAM-R). I'd be nice to get a bolt headspaced and matched to the chamber from either company if possible. Pick your poison and I think you'll love either one. I myself, went with a Rainier Arms SS Match 16" middy 1:8 wylde and I love it. The 1:8 twist might be slightly friendlier to the 55's than the 1:7.

I don't have any experience the barrels you're asking about, but they both have good reputations. When you're shooting cheap 55 grain ammo, I don't think you'll see a difference in the two. That ammo just isn't going to be super accurate.

I do have a good bit of experience shooting 55 grain Nosler ballistic tips out of a 1-7" barrel and they do just fine. My best loads with 55 grain ballistic tips were always between .75-1" at 100 yards. My barrel didn't care for the 50 grain ballistic tips (accuracy was still reapectable, but just not as good as i wanted) but it loves the 53 grain v-MAXs which is what I've switched to for hunting bullets.

I've got a few of the BCM barrels; as do some others in the office. They are definitely shooters with match ammo; and do well with a decent FMJ round. That being said, I've shot service rifles with WOA barrels and know a lot of their barrels are used on match winning rifles.

You won't be disappointed with either.

I have three WOA barrels and I am very happy with their performance. I had a BCM barrel on my carbine before switching to a WOA barrel. I never shot match ammo with the BCM and I've never done a comparison between the two but was able to get first shot hits on clay pigeons at 200 yards with my 1-5x scope with the BCM using M855. I think you will be happy with either one. The WOA have only been fed hand loaded ammo and have performed wonderfully. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks for the advice fellas. Ended up going with the BCM for better or worse. I think mainly due to the claimed quality control practices of BCM like high pressure and mag particle testing on all barrels (as far as I saw) and bcg's, prob other products idk.. and partly due to the rumor about who makes the ss410's for bravo co.

I would have gone with a Rainier match if one had been available, now that the moneys spent they will likely be back in tomorrow.

I've never dealt with Bravo company before so now clue about their shipping times but when it does show up I'll see how it shoots and post some results. I have a feeling I'll be ordering some 223 dies brass and bullets soon, ha does it ever end?

I am totally impressed with their shipping times, my new 11.5 barrel showed up to my Alaska address in 2 days! I'm trying to think up a few more odds and end to order just 'cause I want a friggin BCM hat. : )

Ordered from bravo company around 4 yesterday, got shipping confirmation from them and ups around 1 this afternoon. So far so good/great on that front.

Concerning:

"No, it never does but that's what makes it so much fun."

I'm surprisingly comfortable with that;)
My bank account is another story entirely:(

"My WOA 20 prac is an absolute laser. BCM is good stuff too, but for pure accuracy, White Oak (Precision) is the cream of the crop for ARs."

Agree to disagree.
