doing a new target build in 223 wanted a heavy barrel 18”-20”. Been looking at the compass lake bartlien and krieger match/varmit barrels for 450-500 then found the woa 18” for 300.

I have never had woa barrel and don’t know how group wise they will compare

really building the gun for shooting groups and second a coyote hunting

If building a AR to shoot tiny groups is the goal and you want as close to a sure thing as you can get then go Compass Lake Bartlein for sure. Now, WOA barrels shoot lights out as well. They use Wilson blanks unless you get a White Oak Kreiger (used to be White Oak Precision wing but I believe they are all one site now).

I have had many WOA's, they are all shooters. Here's some 5 shot groups from my WOA 20" SDM 1:7 barrel with 77smk and 8208XBR in 1xLC brass at 100yds.

Unless you are an excellent shooter and reload, you won't be able to tell much of a difference in terms of accuracy. But if you want the Nth degree, yes the Krieger or Bartlein from CLE will be more accurate but not by a huge margin.
