For three full days, we want to jump start you on your way to learning the art of long range shooting. We are a premier shooting school, with students attending from all around the world. So whether for an upcoming hunt, competitive shooting or Law Enforcement Agencies, we teach you the basics and advanced fundamentals that will set you up for success both on target and in the field! This is a precision shooting class covering the many subjects listed below in both the classroom and in the field under real world shooting conditions. Some of these subjects are advanced subjects that every shooter should know and understand. A printed book is provided that has all class subjects, materials and formulas that you, the shooter, can take home and have access to.
The course is written and instructed by Jamie Dodson of Wolf Precision. Jamie has won and placed in many shooting and sniper matches over the years and has the real world knowledge to teach from experience learned on the firing line. Just as important, they were won shooting rifles he built himself. This gives you a unique opportunity to learn al lot about the how's and why's of a great shooting rifle by a custom rifle builder. Going into his 10th year owning and teaching the shooting school, Jamie's students are now coming up through the ranks and winning and placing in matches, some in their very first year. It is his love and passion in the art of long range shooting that he hopes to pass down for all to enjoy and share no matter what type of shooting sport they are applying it to.
The course is strictly limited to 9 students with two instructors. Keeping the student to instructor ratio small allows as much one on one time needed to help each student learn and grow. We are also proud to say that were are one of the first schools in the country open to the public that is all inclusive with the classes being held at Seven Springs Mountain Resorts. Price includes three nights at the resort with breakfast and lunch included. You may also bring your family to stay with you at the resort and enjoy its many amenities while you attend the school.
We also have 4 school rifles available if the student does not already have a rifle or does not want to use their own. The only thing we want you to have to bring is a passion to want to learn the art of shooting. Details can be found here!
Take the time to read some of our Student Feedback!
*Law Enforcement Agencies that need any references from other Officers and Police Snipers who have taken the course please call.

Classes will be held at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in the conference and training room. Range work will be done in Somerset, PA on private ground with targets ranging from 100 yards to 1000 yards. A shooters' log book and classroom book will be provided. Click chart or D.O.P.E. for your rifle is not necessary. If you don't have one, we chronograph and make charts for every rifle in the class as well as teach you how we do it so you will be prepared to make your own in the future. Our goal is to share with you years of experience over three days. The classroom and shooting course is challenging, but it will set you up for success both at the range and in the field.
Equipment List *If you bring and use your own rifle!
Rifle- Bolt or semi-automatic capable of 1 MOA or better repeatable accuracy. Calibers .223 and up. Magnums are welcome but discouraged - it is important to have a rifle that YOU can shoot well for up to 75 rounds per day. If you must bring a Magnum or any other heavy recoiling rifle, consider a muzzle brake or suppressor for recoil reduction.
* Please be sure to verify your rifle's accuracy prior to the school. 1 inch at 100 yards or less is preferred. A little over that will still allow you to run through the course. If you do not have a rifle that meets the above requirements please consider using one of our school issued rifles.
Ammunition- 200 rounds minimum of quality handloaded or commercial match grade ammunition, please be sure to proof this in your gun prior to coming to the school. No full metal jacketed ammo permitted at the range!
Scope - Quality optics with magnification of 10x or more. Must have externally adjustable elevation and windage knobs. A ranging reticle is recommended, but not mandatory. Also be sure to check the elevation adjustment range you have left after zeroing the rifle. You will need 28 to 33 minutes of elevation to reach 1000 yards. Any questions on this please call.
Bi-pod- Swivel is needed. The Harris “S” (swivel) series 6-9 seems to work best. A Bi-pod lock will help but is not mandatory.
Rear Bag- For a very stable shooting platform for under the butt of the rifle. We will have some available for purchase if you do not have one.
Eye and Ear Protection- Mandatory.
Notebook- With pens/pencils/calculator for notes during class and collecting data on the range.
Clothing- Suitable for weather conditions, we shoot rain, snow or shine. Sunscreen? We now have a 12 x 50 cover over the firing line for your convenience and restrooms on site. But bring weather appropriate clothing.
Pack or Gear Bag- For carrying gear to and from range/firing positions.
Food/Water- Pack a lunch for after classroom session and bring snacks to eat during range time. Pack extra water for hot weather.
Shooting Mat- A shooting mat or tarp will be needed for in the field shooting.
Extras- Scope level, Spotting Scope and wind meter would be nice to have handy, but not mandatory.
Cost for the three day course is $1395.00 which includes three nights lodging at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Breakfast and Lunch. $895 without lodging. School rifles are $545.00 and includes ammunition!
Your family may stay with you at the resort at no additional fee. Family members can enjoy the many activities offered at Seven Springs while you attend the school!
Want to save $200.00? Bring a friend and double up in a room and save $200.00 each ($400.00 in total savings).
