Wont let my sons go to war again

I agree, the problem with 99% of the people in this country are used to getting everything handedto them and EVERYONE is a winner. It will always be left to the other 1% that are willing to raise thier right hand and take the oath to protect all of those sorry f$#s that are protesting. I still think that we should turn that whole side of the earth into the worlds largest piece of glass

What was the war we actually fought for freedom? American revolution , may be the civil war? If there is a real threat to this country's freedom I'll stand up and fight no matter what my age and I would encourage my kids as well.. I'll be damned if my kids will die to make some group of rich men richer.

I tried to join 3 branches of the armed forces when I was 19 and was turned down by all of them because of my back. I was seen as a liability it broke my heart at the time. I have to wonder where I would be if I did not have the problem with my back.

I will kick my son's collective asses if I ever hear one of them state that they want to go into the military. I have done everything to make sure they would not have to fight and that this family could skip a generation for a change.
From the Green Mountain Boys under Ethan Allen to myself under MJ Austin, my family has served every generation, with all of us involved in some level of direct, or indirect fighting.
I have seen the ugliness that the current war has to offer as well as the great things the military has to offer. I fully believe though, that the trend in military management is no good for the future. As a father, I WILL NOT see any of my boys come home like my friends or have a myriad of issues that I have.
They are fine as a Liquor Purchaser and Online Storefront Manager, a STEM Academy Graduate on his way to earning a degree in the Cyber Industry(undeclared as to exact area so far), and a Freshman STEM Academy student who is also a Gold level Mid-State Saxaphone, and Clarinet Player, an All County 1st Chair band member for both instruments, and the youngest member of the APSU Governer's Own Marching Band(State University that I attend). In other words, the potential of what my three sons have collectively is far greater than anyone can replace. I may not be excellent(I try), but I have at least provided 25% of the genetic material required to breed excellence in these three. I have very high expectations for No 2 Son, and No 3 Son, and am damn proud that No 1 Son has made a mark in the liquor industry of NY, and is on his way to doing the same in Philly in the upcoming months and years or until he gets bored of Philly and moves elsewhere. Besides, no military in the world deserves my boys. They have greater things to accomplish and my family can skip a generation. We have done enough.
If you all decide to call up a civil war, give us a call, we'll be there. If you call asking for bodies for a foreign fight, go pound sand up your arse, and call someone else.

Yeah, let's get some of our sons killed so we can hand the country over to the anchor babies....

Not good....Not happening...
