An old model 7 Remington spruced up and chambered in 6.5 creedmoor. Stock is hydro dipped in muddy girl cammo, full length bedded and free floated, scope base holes are now 8-40, rear action screw is now 1/4-28, ptg lug double pinned, brux # 4 barrel 1:8 twist 26" . The girly loves it

Dude that is fantastic! I'm a hobbiest armorer and basically assemble rifles for my own use. I'm a Savage junkie because they don't require the kind of work you do. I own a healthcare consulting company as my real job but plan on selling out someday and doing real gunsmithing (not that I'll make the same amount of money! LOL) Willing to take on an apprentice!

Seriously are there any good machinists/Smiths who are willing to teach or apprentice out there?

I use a fixture I made and do it on the mill. I'll scrounge up a picture.
