Would you trade? (rifle for 2 pistols)

my first post here

my buddy at work has a rem .308 tactical. he's the kind of guy that buys expensive toys and finger f**ks them. so, its never been shot. comes with a mcmillian stock (dont know which one), a leupold scope (MK4 4.5-14X50 #54560), a harris bi-pod, and a pelican case and a hundred rounds

in return i give up my Springfield .45 Range Officer with $150 in upgrades with 8 wilson mags. and my glock 19 gen 4 9mm night sights with 8 15rd factory mags. both are like new

so..yes or no?

Well I think financially it's not that much of a difference either way...I personally would rather have your end of the deal, but if you really want a rifle then that's an easy way to get a nice setup without losing a lot out of pocket.

Re: Would you trade? (rifle for 2 pistols)

nope!! If you want a tac rifle I would keep the hand guns and squirrel a few bucks away here and there and buy one when you had the cash. the rifle package is mediocre at best and your pistols sound like nice guns with a few extras

Re: Would you trade? (rifle for 2 pistols)

I also agree with just buying a rifle. I would see what his buy out price is an work out a payment plan. Sounds like you have picked out 2 pistols that you like and enjoyed them enough to customize them even more to your liking....

Re: Would you trade? (rifle for 2 pistols)

to tell the truth, im not that wild about the Springfield (and other 1911's). it shoots great and accurate and all that...but just not crazy about it like big double stack .45's.

the glock is just a glock. im a cop and can get glocks anytime and for cheap.

IMO, you'd be coming out about $200-$300 ahead. Assuming it's what you say, a Remington 700 Police version, and a Leupold 4.5-14 on there. I'm not big on the handguns, but I've made trades like that because I know some people want them. And they can go out the door for more.
